WSC Season Preview

edited August 2011 in General Charlton

A fair bit more entertaining than the 442 version, mainly because each club gets a small write-up of it's own and the comments are made by supporters rather than ill-informed journos. However, the reason for this post is that, as the magazine is celebrating its 25th anniversary, it asked each club's representative what their favourite moment of supporting their club had been over the last 25 years.

The guy doing Charlton's bit went for the 4-2 home win over Chelsea - obviously it's all a matter of opinion, but surely that doesn't even come close to the Play-off Final or the first game back at The Valley. Any thoughts?

Comments

  • First game back at the Valley - without that there would had been no play off final and no games in the Premiership
  • probably because he is a plastic and only starting going in 2000 and, for him. there is only the Premiership era onwards
  • The answer to the best moment of the season question was bizarre as well:

"Nathan Eccleston's goal sealing a victory against Portsmouth in Powell's first game in charge."

That could of course be an editing mistake, rather than Mr Tom Green having a shocker.
  • @dabos I think Tom Green is a regular contributor on there. Don't want to tear him to pieces, but he wrote the season review for League 1 which featured in WSC a couple of months back. Seemed to think that Brighton would struggle next season due to a perceived lack of money and support - seemed oblivious to the fact that they are moving to a new stadium and have had a season ticket sellout well in advance of next season starting.
