Who is the longest serving season ticket holder?

edited July 2011 in General Charlton
Might already be a thread for this but with the recent updated season ticket sales I just wonder who out of all Charlton fans has the longest run of buying a season ticket every year.

I know a few people that have a very good record, anyone had a season ticket for 30 years straight or more?

  • 17 years for me, starting with a half season as a Christmas present in 1994/95.
  • 21 years for me, first season at upton park, all be it I went quite a few times at that dump in Thornton Heath!!
  • I'm at 30 but Ian Wallis is at 47 continuous years
  • I'm at 32 years straight, my old man will be 50+ years straight.

does Ian Wallis post on this board? I've a strong feeling my dad knows him from school.
  • Cor blimey I doubt anyone could beat 50 years+ . Im only 12 years and might have to have a gap this year because of money. Gutted.
  • I bought my first one when they launched Ground Season Tickets, early 1960s, and have bought a s/t every year since then, so probably approx 49 years....
  • I am currently at 21 consecutive years
  • 22nd season ticket in a row for me. First was 90/91.
  • Out of 14 years of life I have been a season ticket for 7.5 years

  • 1970 onwards....(but missed 1 year in 1994, but still went to every Home match).

I've just renewed for my crazy total of, two seasons.
  • I'm at 25 years straight!!
  • you need to buy a ticket according to ground rules
  • 28 years consecutive
  • This season will be my 35th as a ST holder.

You get less time for murder.

  • This season will be my 14th consecutive season. Bit pathetic, really.
  • 83/84 was my first season ticket. By my reckoning that is 29 years.
  • Only since Prem days - glory hunter ;-)

    What are Ground Season Tickets?
  • might be someone from 1930's  although not sure season tickets existed then, maybe the club know and our friend from ticket office could help?

  • 12 years, but I started at 14 and paid for each one myself.
