Thanks to all who have contributed and please, those who do live abroad, let me know your country or state (eg in USA).  I know that there are plenty still to come. The idea that what we all write here is read by a CL 'community' around the world helps reinforce why I became a Charlton supporter.

Ta Winters-Dawn.  I know that there are a number in the Far East who haven't nominated themselves.  I never expected CL members to be so reticent!!

Thanks to those who have 'checked in'.  I know that there are many others who regularly contribute to CL who haven't done so and I would welcome it if they did.  I hope to produce a list of countries in which we (a third tier club at present) have a CL presence.  So far no invitation from a lad from Lagos to provide him with my bank details in exchange for $squillions from a failed oil deal - but I live in hope.

ps I'm told that the Nigels have fans from as far away as Selsdon and New Addington!!!

Am working in Pakistan but have been covering in Abu Dhabi, Sanaa & Tehran. And in Dubai for a few breaks. The Ambassador who was in Tehran is a supporter too, which was an unexpected but nice surprise - I bought him a Chrissie P tshirt

Yes. Well he was the Ambo there when I was there, but has moved countries since . I was well surprised and delighted with the response to my email which said he was so glad to hear the standard of staff had improved!

I reckon Alberta has the most Lifers of the (13?!!?) Canadian provinces!

Hi Oaky. I've been to see them a couple of times. The standard isn't great, truth be told, I would say on a par with English non-league and it's a bit confusing trying to watch a match on a pitch which is also marked out for CFL and Lacrosse. That said, the players are not all without talent and the crowds have been reasonable (1500 to 2000) and the team certainly are triers. I think the early signs are it may take hold and could grow, and with that the standard will improve and hopefully they can get themselves a dedicated stadium with a proper grass pitch. Just a pity they had to choose blue for their strip!

I've been pleasantly surprised by how much interest there is in 'proper' football since I got here and it comes as something of a relief. If I can just find myself a pint of real ale and lamb jalfrezi I should be alright out here.

Cape town, I'm starting to think I might be the only SA based Charlton fan on the site, let alone Cape Town based. Apart from other ex-pats the main support base here are for MU (far too many, and as usual full of BS) Arsenal and Liverpool. My wife has spotted one CAFC bumper sticker, but that was some years ago, is there anybody else out there? My two girls 4 and 6 are being brainwashed, so I do have some vocal support.

With CAFC's connections with SA I'm surprised that Addickfanatic seems to be the only Lifer.  In fact the only one on the entire continent of Africa - so far.

Legal, it looks like there are more ex Charlton players than supporters in SA. Shaun B is a regular pundit and Mark Fiiiissh, is often seen on some programme or other. Unfortunately we also have Garry Bailey (the world's most biased TV pundit)

    Bump
Later today I will list and post the countries, so if anyone wants to make a last minute bid to have their present whereabouts outside the UK known (and that includes Lord Lucan) please reply.  Cheers
