Used them a few times but prefer the train (like a real CAFC fan). Personally found the away coaches a little unreliable, the Notts County game last season was a farce- coach arriving late at Eltham and then arriving late at the ground. Whilst this was not a one offf by all accounts, at Tranmere and Carlisle- noticed there were coaches arriving late and a few stories going round regarding dodgy drivers and late pick ups. Saying that, I would possibly use them again as they are reasonably priced and there was a piece in a programme last year about how the issues with the service are being dealt with.

If you book early and have a 16-25 railcard, trains can be reasonably priced too.

Your mrs goes to Charlton with you? Big points for her!!

I sometimes use them if it's a game where I want a beer or two or three.

Dont really get what your saying to be fair? Oh and welcome.
  • Yeh were both season ticket holders. I shud explain that SHE drives us. So if she can't make it I don't wanna b going train on me own so thought valley coach wud b good

I don't the coach once at the play offs with swindon was ok actually.
  • used to do the coaches on my todd when i was younger like the banter as you past other teams coaches on the motorways apart from the when it kicked off after blackburn with the hammers fans. older now and like a beer so train as much as possible when i can get away, check out the train details in the programme (cheesewright??) always does find good deals and you know there will defo be other addicks on board to chat to, train is always fun bit more freedom than coach, last time i trained it was mk dons with our glorious leader and mr hugo boss plaayer, was great fun especially as we noticed a fellow lifer slowly walking up the carrage towards us, que 3 blokes instantly falling asleep and taking great interest in what could be seen through the window till said lifer had passed by without spotting us.

Bastards. I knew you'd done that.
  • cool. so if i get train tix wiv this syd fella then we all go up together? or does he just get the ticket for ya?
  • Find the cheapest train tickets and book them whether it's with with the Cheesewright group rail fare or direct with the train company. Once you've done a few you'll start seeing the same faces and will end up chatting with random Charlton fans anyway. I'm solo on my travels to Notts County and Rochdale.
