Season Ticket Question

Just wondering will I be able to buy 2 ST on the first day of the season (next to eachother) and will the prices be the same as they are now on the OS?

Plus I am a redcard member so will there be much form filling?

Comments

  • I think the prices are not going up any more and there will definitely be seats together all over the ground -not sure if the club would be too keen to process on the day -it will be busy. They usually give an opportunity a few matches into the season to buy one. If not maybe you should look to getting them a week or so before.

Yes you will and they will be the same price.  You'll be able to get two together but only in some areas of the ground.

But yes, there will be some form filling so personally I wouldn't leave it to the actual day of the first match. There will be people queuing behind you and you might forget a vital document such as proof of age.

The forms aren't hard but you can download a form from the website or ring and ask for one to be sent out.

Or just ring the commercial centre and they'll do it al over the phone for you there and then in most cases.

You'll be able to do this if you get to The Valley early, say before 1pm. But you may not be able to buy a season-ticket in the run-up to kick-off because the priority then is to sell matchday tickets and get people into the ground.

I can't say for certain, because we haven't planned our staffing etc for that matchday yet, and for example we might put a person in the north stand ticket office selling season tickets or Reading only.

What would probably happen is that we would sell you match tickets for the Bournemouth game and then refund them against season tickets at the final whistle, but it's a lot of hassle if you are planning to buy all along?
  • Out of interest, what areas of the ground are you not able to get 2 seats together?
  • Ok, I think I'm going to go the Thursday before, it should be alright then I presume?

Yes, no problem. You'll also be able to take the time to choose the seat you want.

So you're going to pay someone to sit and read all day
  • Out of interest, what areas of the ground are you not able to get 2 seats together?
very few but some places in the upper north ie front row, middle of the east.

It was really saying if Wilmore has a specific place ie a row or next to someone else,  rather than being happy with a particular stand better to get the seats sorted out sooner rather than later.
  • Anywhere in the upper north will do or west stand so Im sure that will be fine :-) just need two seats together.

There are some blocks in the lower west where that might be a problem. Plus bear in mind that any seat that has been sold for that game as a matchday ticket won't be available either, although there are ways round that.

  • You don't mean you get the heavies in to evict them!
  • I mimage they will do the same offers as previous year so if you are late to the ground I would just buy a match ticket and they will then deduct it from the season ticket price.
  • Why don't you just ring up ?
