It was mentioned a few days ago, on one of the discussions. Apparently Sheff Wed were after him but there were rumours from an insider at The Owls on one of their forums that he was coming to us.

Ideally i would like a few more defenders to help sort it out at the back and i think we should use Alonso's diversity to our advantage with him being able to play defensive mid, center mid and as a playmaker!
