Think Superclive would have been successful in the Premiership if it were not for his injury. Willow was a very good finisher by my recollection allthough relied on his pace so not an all round striker. Melrose was very composed and sharp in front of goal so definitely worth inclusion and so is Hunt who really hit his peak before his illness.
I'd go Bent, Superclive, Melrose, Willow, Hunt as the top 5 since te mid 80s.
Darren Bent if for no other reason than the unforgettable image of Melchiot looking as though he was running backwards as Benty made up two yards to streak past him and run on from the halfway line to clinically score against Birmingham at The Valley.
