    I need some concrete answers...
  • 7,536 on June 16th last year, rising to 8,769 by the first day of the season.

How does that compare this year?
  • Ticket sales will only increase if we sign some players, no-one who hasn't renewed isn't going to bother until they see some signings done and dusted.
  • Yeah last season we finished 13th and this season as it stands our squad is worse than this time last year. Can't see us getting another 100 sales to be honest.
  • Really? You don't think we'll get 100 more?

slight exaggeration! ;). Looking at our squad at the moment like BGR says no-one who hasn't bought one, will.
  • That's what he said.
  • I bought one but am not looking forward to another depressing season if we don't start pulling our fingers out with some signings. I look at the players who have departed or are departing as being some of our best players and that is the best players from a team who were pretty rubbish last season. Going to the Football is supposed to be fun. I might have more fun paying somebody to wack me over the head with a sledge hammer. I honestly don't think I can take another depressing season, please Charlton give me something to enjoy - make some decent signings - give us all a season to feel even half good about.

  • You ask for to much Muttley.  Aren't you happy that weve brought Bradley Pritchard?
  • Yeah last season we finished 13th and this season as it stands our squad is worse than this time last year. .

Are you sure you're not just making that up? I seem to remember Parky starting last pre-season with next to no players at all.

Then again, it could just as easily be me making stuff up ;-)

It'll speed up soon, always does. This time last year there were the same worries that we hadn't made enough signings by now.

Careful Mike, I feel Henry is in a betting mood!
  • surely the fact Racon has gone will put a few more bums on seats ?
  • I think it was worse last year at the same time in terms of actual players we had - but I hate to say this - we had Parky last year. I think he was a good manager- I know some dont agree but I did think he was. I hope Powell will be a great manager but I just don't know  -the only evidence so far isn't promising -but it is too early to know one way or another - so if we are losing our best players as we seem to be doing, and we have an untried manger it is more worrying. There seems to be more entries in the losing players column than bringing in at the moment and despite what people say, they aren't the sort of players I'd be looking to lose if I had a choice. I understand the wages issue but am sure Millwall didn't offer Racon the same terms he was on - so we are losing out to Millwall which is worrying. Of course the players we have lost are not the greatest thing since sliced bread but we need to see better coming in to replace them to feel even remotely optimistic. At the moment, I'm not seeing what I want to see but I do accept things can change quickly. But change they must.
  • I think there'll be a bump at the end of the month before swap week, then I suspect it will be slow until we make some signings, or not. Anyone that hasn't secured their own seat is, in my view, unlikely to pay for a whole season upfront unless we really look like we mean business.

  • People I have spoken to have told me they are waiting for some signs of intent.

I know patience is needed , but when is the intent part going to happen?

  • It might not - I pray it does though.
  • Never Forget we can still sign players right up to the end of August.
  • Cedric has signed, any maybe's on renewing will surely be picking up the phone now ;-)

  • It Only Takes A Minute to renew a season ticket.
  • Is that enough intent for your mates, Muttley ?

  • I'd be very surprised if we don't sell another 1,000 at least and I'd expect the majority to be after the swap window.
  • leaving mine as late as possible.

    I'm skint!
  • Rothko can you put that link badge to the top of the Charlon Life website please ??? !! That's what a lot of people need to do on here

Swap window? Airman what do you know? After all you are the inside man...
  • I think they might want some more intent - everybody has different levels - I didn't need to see any intent at all
