Transfer update !

  • if the rowlands thing is true, and given the interest in the scottish bloke at Cardiff last week it does look like they recognise there's been a lack of a proper leader / boss in the middle with a bit of nous. Makes a lot of sense!

  • i suggest we get Crystal Harris on board as a morale booster, she can be paraded around the dressing room before the game to get the boys fired up,half time she can dish out the oranges and if weve won she and a few of her chums can get the bath ready, bath salts. All this transfer guff is boring me, we need as a minimum a pacy center half, a top notch central midfielder and another decent center forward ie a quality spine to our team. All this were in for him and this, that and the other is mainly guess work and nonsense, my opinion is that when things actually happen we get to know about it pretty soon afterwards so lets get some good quality nonsence going on here to occupy us until something actually happens.
  • Been trying to do that seedmeister but got chastised by Lord Bartram earlier today. Any more illogical posts from me and i reckon it could be curtains for me. Is nonsense an offense however and is there an adjudication process?
  • If we sign a player called Cedric, I'll be very very happy.  I don't care which Cedric or whether he can play football.  It's just time we had a Cedric on the books.

Agreed, although Wiggins has a nice ring to it. Miggins would be even better.

I'll take that wager. £20 to the Charlton upbeats
You're avin a larf, you old con-artist, you know Hayes is acomeinin
  • Paul Hayes , i wish he'd hurry up and sign or not so this can be put to bed. I like the sound of Quim though.
  • @lincsaddick

You said you'd wager none on that list would come so you clearly don't think he is coming. I have no insdie info.

You offered the bet, I took it. Just the stake to agree.

You could do the bet and take Hayes out of the equation, still 9 other players.
  • Don't think anyone is twisting words Mr Lincs.
You stated something, someone took you to your word.
Or did you not say that ?
  • I've studied offer and acceptance at uni and you are bound to this contract I'm afraid LincsAddick
  • i was using 'wager' figuratively, if I were to be truly wagering/gaming on the possibility of 10 players arriving or not, any real odds would need to be spread or movable odds fixed on each player, the odds adjusting according to rumour, hyperbole or speculation

read the latest entry MOGgie and Mr Mike, your degree course in o and a (I know a few girls who specialise in that)  should have explained that gambling bets are not enforceable in law, and my scruples are very elastic, they usually twang in my favour

    LOL
  • Are you Welsh, Lincs?

    :)

  • tis thee who is the wagerer and needeth to display the sovs. However, King Ted Three's Law does not apply in the vale of tears henceforth to be called: Valley of despair, Flloyd Road. There the law be.. everyAddick for Hissself

  • Agreed but you are the wagerer as you made first offer of the bet. I am but the taker or accepter of the wager.

And Lincolnshire is a Royal county so the common law applies.

  • I bet you all £20 that nobody will win the Premiership next season, except the team that wins it. We can all do these wagers.
  • Signing a Cedric would be good but signing a Cuthbert would be even better. If we can't have a classy midfield at least we can have some classy names.
  • I think we might have some issues around capacity in this 'ere contractual situation.

So the offer only stands if you win ?
  • offer him a £1 wager lincs at 50-1

lincs statement is an invitation to treat - Henry has made the offer - lincs does not have to accept the offer.
  • Im sure your right I only skimmed over it as a topic this year on my accounting course ;)
  • oh, I thought transfer update was something to do with football players joining another team...silly me, its all about the transfer of cash or not into Henry's account.
