    Thanks for that.

An interesting read. I'm not sure what the standard of football was out there compared to the then division 2 over here but he had something about him it would appear and perhaps could have replace Killer had we persevered with him.

    All hypothetical now of course.

  • I think... I'm bored.  Yes, I do believe that's what has happened here.  I had better get some lunch.  Sorry for ruining your post.
  • I was only about 13 when he played but I remember him as being absolutely useless, hence choosing him as my user name.

    Yes he was useless.

Could of replaced Killer ?? At the bar maybe !

He was useless for us I agree but the stats in the article suggest he knew where the goal was. Like I said above though we don't know how good (or bad) the standard outthere was compared to division two over here.
  • Good read. When news first broke that we were looking at him, my Dad and I went to watch him play for Barking.
He was anonymous for most of the game but still came very close to notching a couple of goals. He was similar to Killer in that respect and I always thought that he had something about him in terms of goalscoring. I'm not surprised he did so well in America. Kevin Smith also had a very successful career in the US indoor league.
  • Come on Len. You may have convinced us Kish was another Paul Scholes, but Lawrie Abrahams??????!!!!!!

He always formed the spearhead of my all time worst XI with Mike Small!

  • I thought this thread was going to be about Hiroshima.
