An interesting read. I'm not sure what the standard of football was out there compared to the then division 2 over here but he had something about him it would appear and perhaps could have replace Killer had we persevered with him.
He was useless for us I agree but the stats in the article suggest he knew where the goal was. Like I said above though we don't know how good (or bad) the standard outthere was compared to division two over here.
Good read. When news first broke that we were looking at him, my Dad and I went to watch him play for Barking. He was anonymous for most of the game but still came very close to notching a couple of goals. He was similar to Killer in that respect and I always thought that he had something about him in terms of goalscoring. I'm not surprised he did so well in America. Kevin Smith also had a very successful career in the US indoor league.
