  • I've no idea how they work the distances out!

    1. Gillingham - correct now

    2. Southend - nonsense!

    3. Dagenham & Redbridge - more nonsense!

    4. Charlton - I'd love to know their route because it's 8 or 9 miles less than mine!

All distances by crow.  According to them Southend is nearest and Charlton 6th for me.  But they've put Gillingham as 2nd.  Only if I nick someone's boat.
  • Palarse 14.7

    Charlton 15.4

So  if I were a crow I would know where to dump my shit - but I travel by train/car

  • I gave my son a choice between his local team and mine (Halifax Town) and nearly 10 years later he is still dragging me along to the Valley.  When do I get an apology for all the pain and suffering?  I get my own back by singing the Red Red Robin very loud.

  • I'm with Leroy.  Palarse and Millwall are closer but I think commitment is the key to whether you can really be called a 'supporter' as opposed to a 'follower'.  I work with a woman in London who goes to EVERY mufc game, home and away.  Ok she is nuts but I would count her as a 'supporter' and not just a follower.

It's not even June and I can hardly wait for the new season to begin.  Maybe this should be on the 'compulsive disorder' thread!!!
  • I was born in Blackfen, so my local team is probably Welling..............but if talking about league clubs then the following applies:

    Charlton  3.3 miles

    West Ham   5.7 miles

    Millwall     6.1 miles

  • 1. Crystal Palace (2.5 m)
    Selhurst Park

    2. Millwall (6.5 m)
    The Den

    3. Charlton Athletic (7.0 m)
    The Valley

Oh Nuts!  My local team is in fact Beckenham who I can watch from my house!
  • 1. Charlton Athletic (6.8 m)
    The Valley

    2. Crystal Palace (8.1 m)
    Selhurst Park

    3. Millwall (9.0 m)
    The Den
  • Well thats shit then...  Gillingham, Southend and then Charlton !

    1. No Romany blood line or gold sovereign jewellrey, so the Jills is a No

    2. No gold sovereign jewellrey or Romany blood line, so the Shrimpers is a No

There must be a bug in the chaps software OR some twat had an idea to list the football clubs nearest your front door.

    What a lark !

  • Grimsby .. 7 miles

    Scunny .. 35 Miles

Charlton 208 Miles. I'm a native Blackheathian and mud is thicker than blood.

  • Wow big interest in this thread!

I was thinking of signing up to a Man United thread for a laugh, can you imagine?

    Exeter 1 mile
    Torquay 9 miles
    Man United 400miles

  • From where I live now Charlton beats Palace by 0.2 miles, but from my childhood home Charlton was 3rd behind Palace and Millwall.
