Most supporters may not have noticed the difference, but a subtle change in the official Charlton website took place last week.
Since the club signed up to the Football League interactive (FLi)
stable last November, some fans have complained that the presence of
'tv' in the main URL of the website ('www.cafctv.co.uk') was preventing
them from accessing the site, and therefore all the latest news and
views concerning the Addicks.
Unfortunately, the URL was a hangover from the club's previous
website arrangements, which saw the subscription CAFC Player service
(formerly CAFC TV) run parallel to the official site.
But following significant work behind the scenes by Addicks and FLi
staff, the original 'www.cafc.co.uk' URL has now been restored.
Head of communications Matt Wright said: "A number of fans alerted us
to the fact that they were unable to access the website at their
workplace due to the presence of firewalls which were picking up on the
'tv' part of the URL.
"It's taken a while to resolve the problem, and longer than we would
have liked, but we want the website to be accessible to as many people
as possible, so we've worked hard to make the required changes."

Great!
Now what about removing all the pointless advertising for viagra, mobile phones and car tyres?
And while we are on the subject, can we also remove the homogenous corporate style that makes every Football League team look the same and destroys the proud identity and soul of each individual club.
And Player is so completely awful and amateurish that only a fool would waste 10p a day on it, so please stop ramming it down our throats.
And what about some news that is a little more tasty than "ground staff to use green grass again next season" and "famous D list celebrity to play five a side tournament in Bexley in aid of darts team Christmas party"?
And what about some fan interaction and feedback?
And another thing....err..thats it.
