Really think we'll confirm him by monday at latest.
Reading the new quotes from Powell in the Newshopper it seems we're nowhere near close to doing a deal. We might not even be able to afford him, and no doubt other clubs are interested.
As someone who knows BWP's play, it would be good to have Yannick Bolaise at the club.
I guess that Bristol City is probably not too far away from his home base in the SW and maybe won't have to uproot and move house.
The owners need to convince that Charlton as a club or going somewhere and that we are headed to the Championship, so it is worthwhile for him to uproot and risk staying at league one level for another season.
In the end wages and length of contract will be the biggest factors though IMHO.

I agree with that. Hollands had a big jump in wages to come to us. We should never go back to the wage excesses of Pardew. We need to pay competitive wages to draw players to the club. Maybe a chunk of wages paid on achievement would help. I am always wary of being generous with other peoples money. I am sure there is a good balance to be struck.
London wages are more generally and it must be the same for football clubs as well.

Plymouth is hardly a suburb of Bristol .........Plymouth to Bristol is a distance of 100 miles!
So I doubt he would relish a roundtrip commute of 200 miles each day.
The world stops at Bristol oggy! Which is why argyle is now in the sh1t, and it looks like Stapletons vulture is circling again while he prctices his Irish accent!
You may have a point there Oggy. Depends where he lives, he may outside of Plymouth in Tiverton or Chumleigh or something or some where a bit closer up.

Looking at newsnow for Bristol City theres nothing about Yannick Bolasie until "offer accepted by Argyle", why does it seem that every bloody move or thought coming out of our club is analysed and discussed in detail all over the place before finally falling through?
Comments
The first we knew about any signings was when it was on the OS and always in the first few weeks of the summer (like we have done with Hollands).
The news world simply does not work in the same way.
So many people moan that the club gave said nothing - now some info is finally coming out people want to moan about that instead, madness.

City are a division higher and local-ish as VFF says. Charlton have a better history plus he might fancy living in or near London where he grew up.
