I picked up a fiction book at the library the other day called "A Darker
Shade of Blue". Its written by John Harvey and features an ex
detective, now PI called Jack Kiley who played a couple of season for
Charlton. The book is issued in 2010 but is based in the late 1950's
full of jazz, Ronnie Scott etc. I'm a bit puzzled and interested in
how a 2010 author knows about Charlton in the 50's etc. Anyone any
thoughts

According to Wiki he is a Notts Co supporter. However he was born  in Woolwich in 1938 so it it is possible he followed us when he was young.
