While you can't argue with the season ticket prices for next season or the occasional £5 special offers i was shocked to hear saturdays match day ticket was priced at £26.50 (included booking fee I believe) How can they justify the price for an end of season game against Hartlepool ? You're hardly likely to attract the floating supporter at those prices.

Even so £26 is alot for L1 but even if they reduced the prices on Saturday I doubt it would have increased the attendance much for a end of season kick about.
It is to ensure that the total price for match by match prices doesn't fall below that of a season ticket.
It's all well and good saying that the rubbish that we've seen hasn't been worth the price of a matchday ticket, but if you make it much cheaper you either have to refund the season ticket holders or expect them to all pay on a match by match basis the following season. Witout season ticket revenue four months before the season starts the club would be in real trouble. Imagine if none of the 9,000 season ticket holders paid in advance, and only came when they thought there was a chance of a decent performance and/or result?
Thus, they have to keep the illusion that the club believe that a fair price for what is being served up is £26.50 (taking into account the view that the appropriate stand offers).
