Sorry Dazzler, the only reason the last game is of any interest is because if we finish 14th it'll be our lowest position since 1975. Bloody awful and do they care?
First last game of the season I have missed for decades as I am moving daughter back from Uni, but really don't have much interest, season ended weeks ago for me, just turned up because I had an ST.
I care as if we do lose it'll be the first, last game of the season in 5 years or so that we have lost and we always look like "next season might just be ok"
And it's the last game of football we get to see in that massive void of Summer.
I'm gonna be there this Saturday.....managed to get some funds together, gonna drive down early doors and see my elderly mum first in an old peoples home in Sidcup. Then go to the Lib Club, meet up with a few lifers that I got to know on my last visit there in early April and hopefully enjoy a good game....afterall the last time I went (which was the first in 2 years) we beat Orient 3-1.
Perhaps someone else will do the match thread on saturday......I'll be back with match threads as from day 1 of the new season.
As for the team I would like to see-:
Sullivan, Solly, Llera (maybe his last game ever for us), Fortune (ditto), Bessone, NE, Semedo, Stewart, Racon, BWP, Benno.
Lost interest as well. As for next season things can only get better as the song goes. I guess it all depends on the Summer signings. Personally I would like to see Elliot consigned to the bench in favour of Sullivan if we can sign him. Yet another save pushed out into the danger area and then stuck into the back of the net against Walsall. How many goals have we conceded like that this season? Don't understand why Llera is rumoured to be on his way out the door. I would rather have him in the side than Doherty.
We were coming down for this one, but having endured Walsall last week I just can't see the point in shelling out £150 in train fares.
As far as the team is concerned CP should start the game with those players he hopes to use next season then let the Llera, Eccles, Parrett etc come on towards the end, after all neither us nor H'pool have anything to play for so we might as well start the work towards building for next season.
Shameful times , the worse run in our history imo due to it coming so close to the glory curbs years 3 seasons of this dross needs to be ended next season or we'll soon have home attendances matching our pathetic away ones
I'll prolly take my 5 year old son and make out what a great and exciting team we are to be following ..... Shame on me
Off up to sheffield for the wknd to ignite some blades/charlton/wednesday rivalries that and a wedding.
Prob wont even check the score, I havent the last few weeks - something I honestly thought would never happen, even when I lived abroad the other side of the world i'd follow match threads during every match no matter what time of day/night it was.
This season has been just not interested me in the slightest, for the first time in years I've found myself going out of loyalty and habit rather than any kind of want or desire, then regretting I even bothered making the journey up, I drew a line under it a long time ago, oh well hopefully a serious amount of time away and some decent preseason friendlys with some of the promising youth coming through may get the love back again.....
A little bit miffed that am going to miss it. Wasn't difficult to chose between the opportunity for a nawty weekend with a new lady or stay and watch the mighty Hartlepool down at the Valley.......feel dirty but hey, I have bought my season ticket for next season!
Looking forward to what I hope will be an open game between two teams with nothing to fear. Looks like being a very interesting Summer, can't wait for next season. We have to do better, or the attendance will dwindle, COYR.

I can honestly say that I don't really care. Seriously, I don't.
Edit: the rest of my post somehow got deleted and I don't even have the interest in re-typing it.
My birthday on Saturday... my 50th was 7th May 2007. Need I say more?

I just want to complete 100% of home league and FA Cup games. Not much else to get excited about!
Only home game missed this season Paint thing against Dagenham and Redbridge.
