Elliot 5 FFS Kicking into a swirling wind and having to deal with constant back passes under pressure, pulls off half a dozen first class stops and he gets a 5.
Really, he was the worst player on the pitch? MOTM more like and by a long way
sorry Henry I have to disagree about Elliott, yes the wind was difficult so why didn't he roll the ball out to one of the back 4 to pass the it forward. As for his saves he went down late for the first goal and made an excellent save for the 2nd but pushed the ball directly to an unmarked Walsall player who scored. I concede that he did make a couple of good saves, but then is what he is meant to do.
I realise that I am in the minority but it is my view and I don't see why you need to resort to FFS to get your point across, I thought you were more articulate than that-FFS
Elliot 7.5 Had a good game. Kicking, in my opinion, seemed harder for Elliot in the first half, than for their keeper in the second. The wind blowed against Elliot in the first, but sideways for their keeper in the second, albeit their keeper deserves credit for readjusting his kicking after watching his first kick be blown out. Re the second goal, yes ideally he would have pushed it round the post not out, but the majority of keepers in the division would not have stopped it all.Francis 5.5Doherty 5.5Fortune 6.5Bessone 5.5Eccleston 6Parrett 6Stewert 6Racon 6Wright Phillips 6.5 Ability to score limited by service Benson 6 n/a Harriott Showed promise and was prepared to have a go.
