Game guests

It's a happy birthday today to former Addick Marvin Hinton, who will be attending tomorrow's match against Chelsea at a guest of the Former Players' Association.

Making a welcome return to SE7 is Peter Reeves who now lives permanently in Spain along with ex-Addicks captain and manager Mike Bailey, John Dunn, Tony Booth, Keith Tucker, Fred Lucas, Peter Godfrey, Darren Pitcher, Peter Garland and Sasa Ilic.

Bloody Hell...That must be one big apartment. Do you think they all get on?

  • more importantly no Bougherra or Song.
  • whoo hoo Darren 'The Bee Man' Pitcher!
  • Peter Godfrey lives in the Medway Towns and is a thoroughly nice bloke to quote Tim Nice But Dim. I had a drink with him a few years back in our pre Premiership days when we were away to Sunderland and it was televised. Young Lisbie ( he really was young then!) came on as a sub and Peter reckoned he could become a decent player.

Peter only played the once for our first team but played a lot more for Gillingham and Mansfield. It was a privilege to meet him and hear some of his tales of life at Charlton in the late fifties early sixties.
