Go to the library and borrow a book or buy one from Amazon
The Essential History of Charlton Athletic by Paul Clayton or Valley of Tears, Valley of Dreams by Richard Redden are the easiest to access that sort of info.
Battle for the Valley by Rick Everitt has more detail but is expensive and came out in 1991.
Cheap option is to buy the handbook (most likely from Club shop) as most will be in there.
My daughter is doing a homework project on the First World War - can anyone knock up a 1000 word essay, lets say within 2 days..............! I think the expression here is 'Get off your a***'!
Thats so funny , it must be a wind up............... If not , get Sparrows lane lion to do it for you , he's always on this site and must know it all by know , plus he doesn't seem to be doing anything useful right now.

GB, France and Russia take on Germany, Austia/Hungary and Turkey in war to end all wars.
Russia quits, USA joins in late, French mutiny, German navel runs away, Turkey and Austria/Hungary become 28 little countries.
GB works out how to coordinate infantry, artillery and tanks and win a brilliant military victory and the war but only after lots of people have died.
Problems of Europe and Middle east only made worse and sow seeds for next war plus conflicts in Iraq, Isreal, etc etc.
The end
She can flesh it out a bit but that's all she'll need : - )

Or just use wiki and change the words!!
Isn't the idea for you to research it and learn how to find out information?
There is a whole thread on here describing memories of the play-off final.
EDIT: Sorry just reread your post which states you are not allowed to use websites so ignore me!
