  • Elliot - 6.5 made a few good saves, but his kicking was all over the place again
Solly - 6.5 Linked up with Wagstaff well on the right side but lacked a bit of communication with Elliot
Dailly - 6 never won anything in the air against Lambert and Barnard
Llera - 6.5 the same applies, however he made a couple of good long balls yesterday
Bessone - 5 only got about 1 or 2 crosses in the whole match, and was at fault for the first goal with his misplaced pass
Wagstaff - 7 looked very lively and made a couple of really good runs, but how did he miss from 6 yards 5 minutes in?
Semedo - 6 just tackled, never really offered anything else to the team
Parrett - 6.5 overdid it at times when he should have just taken the easy way out and passed it, but he looked lively as well
Racon - 8 everytime we attacked, it was him bringing the ball forward, and his crosses were ok actually, and he set up Waggy with the sitter that he skied.
Wright Phillips - 7 looked dangerous and worked hard for the team, was inches away from Racon's cross
Benson - 6.5 didn't do a great deal, but held the ball up quite well.
Stewart - 6 tried to make some good passes, but he's struggling to adjust to the way we play

  • Elliot,7, Great shot stopping, couldn't do much about the goals, but distruibution was pretty rubbish.
Solly,7, Coped well with Lambert on him. Saints did seem to be targeting him for the long ball but he did well.
Dailly,5.5, Hardly won the ball in the air, complete lack of communication at the back, he should be the one shouting orders to everyone.
Llera,5.5, Won a few balls but most of his long balls went astray. Saints were running rings round our defence.
Bessone, 5.5, when he got high, he didn't do anything and was left out of position.
Wagstaff, 7, worked hard, should have scored 5 mins in, His touch did let him down a few times, had a gtreat run then shot
Semedo, 6, Tackled well, poor distribution, why was he always looking for the long ball???
Parrett,6.5, Better work rate but fiddled with the ball in midfield and lost it a few times.
Racon, 8, Only player who looked dangerous going forward, MOTM (for us)
Wright Phillips,6.5, lazy, only runs when he wants to, caught offside in good positions a few times in first half
Benson, 6.5, Held the ball up well and good 1 touch passes but lacked service and didn't win a header against Jaidi.
Stewart, 6.5, looked commanding in midfield and wanted to pass the ball but needs to learn how the rest of the team play.

  • Elliot, 7, some good stops, kicking was very messy at times.
Solly, 6.5, played ok against the tricky Lambert.
Dailly,6, gave a couple of free kicks away for holding.
Llera,6, good in the air, some good passes, more bad ones.
Bessone,5, passing was poor, gets caught out of position to much.
Wagstaff,7.5 worked really hard all game, should of scored 5 mins in.
    Semedo,6, good tackling.
Parrett,6, did'nt pass the ball when he should have.
Racon,7.5, looks good carrying the ball forward, played well.
Wright Phillips,7, worked hard without getting much service.
Benson,7, always seemed to have his back to goal when receiving the ball, worked hard.
Stewart,6, needs more time to settle.

  • Elliot 6 - 2 good saves but some poor distribution.
Solly 5.5 - Only one of the back 4 who came close to winning his individual battle. Tried to get forward but declined good openings to cross on a few occassion, choosing to play the easy pass backwards instead.
Dailly 4 - Felt a bit sorry for him cos he had to try and cover the massive holes being left by his partner, but Barnard had the beating of him to every single loose ball and Dailly barely won a header all night.
Llera 3.5 - Trying to cover Bessone but left huge gaps everytime he did. Beaten to every loose ball he went for and lost every header to Lambert. I'll never question the lads attitude but he was having one of those games we all know he has now and again. Totally outclassed by Lambert tbh.
Bessone 3 - Spent so long out of position I was wondering if he'd actually been selected at left back or somewhere
Wagstaff 4 - Missed a sitter and had one good run and shot. Spent the rest of the night running down dead ends, getting out muscled and playing hospital balls. Never hides but had a really poor night.
Semedo 6 - Did his best, Parrret looked a bit lost and Jose was left with too much to do on his own. we maybe should have started with a 4-5-1.
Parrett 5 - Was trying and did some good things, but his inexperience was showing and he spent a lot of the night chasing shadows.
Racon 6 - Got on the ball a lot and most of our attacks came through him. Nevre hid and put a shift in, but he was over-elaborating and needed to be a bit more direct with some of his running and passing.
Wright Phillips 6.5 - Worked hard and looked the touch of class in our side, but it wasn't his night.
Benson 6.5 - Worked hard and when the service was good his hold up play was good too. He's an honest lad and I'd keep him for next year but we need a target man who can spin and pick out a few passes, not just lay the ball off. I know Lambert was 4x the price, but the difference in quality was there for all to see.
Stewart 6 - Came on and tried to get on the ball. Too late for him to make much difference, but I liked the way he was barking orders and demanding more from his teamates. May well be captain next season.

Dailly and Llera are both honest pros and likeable characters but we need better. Bessone isn't the answer at left back imo either. Stewart may improve things in midfield and Racs is growing into his role on the left but on last nights showing, we only had one maybe two players who might get into Saints team and that speaks volumes on how far away we are from a promotion winning team - Saints aren't even guaranteed to get up themsleves ffs.
