He's Better Than Shaun .. He's Better Than Shauuun

BWP , The goal machine we've been crying out for since Darren Bent left , now up to 9 goals for us , 22 for the season? how many do you think he will finish the season with for us?

Hope we can keep him in the summer, could be a big part of the jigsaw.

  • he will definately stay due to his dodgy knee, at this level the boy knows where the back of the net is, I was so impressed with his finish today, although the keeper threw the ball at him he also closed him down quickly and it was a very cool finish.
  • I hope that ankle knock he got isnt too serious.

Dont forget, he is playing with a knee injury which is bound to have hampered him, especially when it comes to turning etc...

He took his goal like a proper goal scorer, I didnt think for one second that he was going to miss. We really need to keep hold of him this summer and give him chances next season.
  • He has that goal scorers swagger about him. I think he has at least another four goals this season in him. Looked very sharp today I thought.
  • i heard him call 'nuts' too!?

hahaha now, that would have been funny!

The nutmeg really rubbed the timewasting knob head's nose it in.

    Karma I think it's called.
  • What an orrible sod though. Will never be liked by me.........

He was as cool as a cucumber. I imagine that if that had landed at anyone else's feet they'd have got over-excited and muffed it. With BWP there was never a doubt where it was going :-)
  • I'm gonna say he'll finish with 17 for us, my lucky number :) optimistic but we'll see

And I hope he keeps it up next season

    Assume that is a joke?

I asked him earlier on twitter if he had ever scored an easier goal and all you get back is... ahahaha no dont think so. The guy is so bubbly and full of happiness at what he's doing.. he definitel aint kmt or smhhhhing.

have created a new dance. kmtttting and smhhhhing... try and do it at the same time. its tricky.

I thought masicat was referring to Jones.
  • Ah ok. Too many celebratory beers last night to comprehend as I think my post clearly shows that I'm pissed.
  • Good striker at this level. Will always score.
No matter if he's injured now, seasons over and we have Benson and Eccles hungry to play.
  • I think he'll get 15 goals for us this season , and a hatrick in one of the last remaining games , maybe i'm in cloud Cuckoo land , but i'm living in hope.
  • Don't wanna be pessimistic but if you look at his record he's had good starts with most teams he's played for but then he's faded. Why do you think he's had so many clubs and is still playing in League 1?

Partly because he failed a medical at Reading

We are his 4th club, hardly that many when you consider he left City for first team football, left Saints after relegation and possibly they needed him off the wage bill whilst he left Plymouth when they were desperate for money.

Also he certainly did not fade at Plymouth, if anything he got better and more confident.
  • I really hope Chris Powell doesn't  play him against Millwall on Saturday, would be sodding typical for one of the Spanners to 'take him out'.
  • let him get the minutes against decent opposition. hope he does play.

You only have to look at some of his goals last season....ie home to Saints (parretts brilliant lob pass to him) and also the over head kick he scored when Waggy put the ball right where he wanted it. BWP should thrive on the improved service which I am sure he will get this season. As will all the other strikers!!!

  • All the other strikers? we'll only have one other in a couple of days by the sound of it!
  • I think we will keep Benson!

Glad we didn't sell BWP in the transfer window, now please give him a new extended contract Mr Slater.
  • Hope he's fit again for Monday
  • He will be fit now the transfer window is closed and he can finally be released from the window-less bunker under Curb's garage...

Will he get the 'credit' for that goal today, or will it get overturned? thought he got good backing from the Charlton faithful today.

Not sure there is a dubious goals panel for league 1, isn't it down to the club to decide? If so it's a no brainer for SCP!

    It;s his goal !!
  • He ain't though,

Put in a lot of effort and tbh its great to see him get in those positions

    But he just can't score
  • Neither can his brother...Just seen a glaring miss on MOTD !
