[cite]Posted By: Stig[/cite]Racon 5.5 - does absolutely nothing, sloppy with possession
[cite]Posted By: Nicholas[/cite]Racon - 8.5 Best player on the pich by miles, dont think he was that bad first half I just think whenever he had the ball no one ever showed for him. Ran the second half.
    [cite]Posted By: Stig[/cite]Racon - 9

Scary how people see things so differently.
Doubly scary if one person gave two ratings that were three and a half points different! - Actually, I believe the 5.5 came from Athletico Charlton and not from me ;-) I stand by what I said I though, Racon was outstanding today. The best I can remember him playing in a long while. Very busy, good shooting, passing and running. He was a real handful for them. I suggest that anyone who thinks he does nothing, thinks long and hard about how our first goal was scored: Racon played a sublime 20 yard pass right across their box, neatly in-between 5 of their players and landing perfectly at BWP's feet. That wasn't "nothing"; that was a game changing moment. If someone like Rooney had done that you'd have heard about it all week long. 5.5 points, my arse.

  • Elliot 6.5 Not too busy
Solly 6.5 Solid enough - nothing spectacular -one excellent pass from defence - I know I am in th eminority but I prefer Francis
Dailly 7.5 Defended well and linked the play with forward drives
Llera 6.5 Not as good as he was when he first got back in the side but solid enough
Bessone 6 Ok but not sure he is the left back I think we need
Wagstaff 6 Got more into the match as the game progressed -disapointed with a overhit cross that should have been floated in
Semedo 7.5 Lovely to see goal and win meant so much to him - Think the clubs rise could be built around this player and he could become a Charlton legend -potentially
Parrett 7 Agree he is going to be a good player -would definitely benefit both him and us to stay for next season
Racon 8 MoM These performances are becoming more regulsar - Powell is discovering how to find the real Racon
Wright Phillips 7.5 Does what it says on the tin -So now we have a goal scorer
Benson 7.5 Slow but puts in a shift - you could see what a good player he could be for us when we really turned up the gas offensively in the second half

n/a Stewart Looks up -has time and qulaity on the ball -short cameo was very promising
n/a Eccleston 2nd goal he has lost due to the final whistle blowing too quickly
n/a Nouble Did well for the short time he was on

Powell, not perfect - the first half was the usual fare but the way we started the second half showed I think what he is trying to achieve - I don't rememebr playing as dominantly at home for some time- the trick will be to sustain it and play that way more often but we have it in us at least. Not perfect -still signs of kamikasi Charlton but definitely something to build on and real light at the end of the tunnel -next season could after all be something to look foward to!

  • Elliot - 6 Did ok.
Solly - 7 Got better as the game went on (like a lot of others). Played some nice balls to Wagstaff second half. Lacked quality 1st half.
    Dailly - 6.5 Had a good game.
Llera - 5.5 Tried but looked suspect. Fair play if he was pushed but looked marginal. Didn't read the flight too well in the last minute either.
Bessone - 6 Wasn't up against much. Good on the ball but can he defend?
Wagstaff - 6 Did ok 2nd half but still too much rolling around.
Semedo - 7 Some good tackles and one or two missed ones. Held the fort while Parrett went forward.
Parrett - 7 Went missing for a while 1st half but he's useful and his dead balls were good (helped by a small Orient back line).
Racon - 7 Kept at it. His shooting was a bit more accurate and his passing will never be cock on but he did create some openings.
Wright Phillips - 8 The difference. Excellent shot for the 1st goal and never any doubt about the 2nd. If he could run (he's clearly injured) then he'd be a Championship player.
Benson - 7.5 Looked pretty sharp and hungry. Nice to see him score at home but how did he miss that header from Parrett's free kick?

n/a Stewart - Looked to be playing at least one level too low. Had that extra second on the ball that sets him apart. Would like to see him start at Saints instead of Parrett. We need to look at him.
n/a Eccleston - Would also like to see him start at Saints instead of Wagstaff.
n/a Nouble - Had one good run. Presume his loan won't be extended beyond a month? No point really unless we're serious about him for next season. If we're not, use the Doc if we need a big lump up front and save some money.

Wright Phillips 6 - wish we didn't have to have this surly sulking ex con !!!

You being serious? He is class act and has got so many points since joining. We finally get a goal scorer, who, when fully fit, could cause the opposistion lots of problems and someone who can put it in the onion bag, and you are still not happy?

  • Elliot - 6 - Not much to do, but did what he had to.
Solly - 6.5 - Sound enough defensively and tried to support Wagstaff.
Dailly - 7 - Solid and tried to lead from the back with a few runs out of defence.
Llera - 6.5 - Their sub (#18) caused him a few problems but up until then he'd was very comfortable and his vision and passing from the back adds a dimension to our game that Doc and Forch can't offer.
Bessone - 6 - Positionally all over the place first half. Better in the second and showed some signs of linking with Racon. Not convinced yet, but he's showing promise.
Wagstaff - 5.5 - Quiet game from Waggy, but he kept running as always. Needs to work hard to add chance creation to his other talents.
Semedo - 7.5 - Worked extremely hard and got into the Orient box on more than one occassion. Great to see him trying to add that dimension to his game and he got his reward. He'll never be prolific but if he just gambles on a run into the box once in a while, especially when the ball is out wide, he could easily pick up 4 or 5 goals a season which would make a massive difference.
Parrett - 6.5 - Bit in and out, but you can see he's improved us - he's like Nicky Bailey but with some of Racon's skills. Would be keen to try and get him back next year.
Racon - 8.5 - MOM. Wasn't really coming off for him first half, but he was always involved and trying to make things happen when others were passing responsibility on. He'll never win with some people, when he's not involved he's hiding, when he's trying to get on the ball but it's just not coming off for him he's slated for that instead. Heavily involved in 2 goals yesterday, even if he didn't get the final assist, and had 4 shots on target, one of which was a thunderous volley and would have been our goal of the season by a country mile. Not quite sure what more people expect from him tbh.
Wright Phillips - 7 - Frustrating first half, did some good stuff but also was very sloppy at times and spent too long stropping about. Bucked his ideas up second half and worked hard for the side. His best all-round performance for us to date because he was contributing outside the box as well as in it and fully deserved his bit of luck - coolness personfied with his finish too.
Benson - 8.5 - Didn't quite hit the heights of his performance away at Posh, but put in one of his best shifts for us. He and BWP need to work on their understanding as they were often too far apart to link up effectively, but it was good to have two strikers in the team who are alive to a half chance and Benno was very unlucky not to come away with at least 2 goals.

n/a Stewart - Encouraging little cameo and a cultured assist for Jose's goal. Looks composed on the ball and was keen to get on it and influence proceedings.
n/a Eccleston - He's unfortunate to be stuck on the bench as he looks threatening when he plays. No case for him dislodging BWP at the moment, but he can be an effective weapon from the bench and I think he will shine when he eventually gets a chance to play up front next to a target man. Whether that will happen with us I don't know.
n/a Nouble - One good run but not on long enough to mark him.

  • Elliot 6.5 - saved well when needed to but the kicking wasn't great
Solly 7 - Had an average game, but very pleased not to see Francis in right back
Dailly - 7.5 - Looked very solid through out, Orient's only goal was an unfortunate one to conceed
Llera - 7 - Looked solid as well but only about 15% of his long balls came off
Bessone - 6.5 - good slide tackles but the crosses never quite happened
Wagstaff - 6.5 - linked up with Solly well, but no end product unfortunately
Semedo - 7.5 - has had a run of bad games recently but had a decent one yesterday and I'm sure that the goal with give him confidence to play well in the next few games
Parrett - 8 - Looked as lively as ever, and seems to have lifted the team from the poor run of form, fantastic signing, hope we get him for next season as well
Racon - 8 - not great in the first half but in the second really got the team going and played a part in the equaliser and 3rd goal *MOM*
Wright Phillips - 7.5 - didn't to a great deal but scored a goal and that's what he is here to do
Benson - 8 - seems like he just earned his place back in the first team after looking very dangerous throughout and scoring a real poacher's goal

Elliot 6 not much to do no chance with their goal

Solly 6 Lost his man once or twice but links well with Waggy and was a threat going forward. Like's a tackle

Dailly 7.5 Commanding and never looked uncomfortable. Liked his desire to come forward

Llera 7 Gives his all and had a decent game. Some good passes with his left peg

Bessone 6 Looked a bit shaky at times perhaps not fully match fit but stuck to his task

Wagstaff 7 A lot of good work off the ball. Helped Solly out defensively and managed to get some crosses in too which unfortunately led to nothing

Semedo 7 Clinical finish from his one chance! Apart from that momentous moment did what he does competently rather than outstandingly.

Parrett 7 A lot of hard work from him. I wouldn't mind him next season if we can get him. No coincidence that Racon has improved dramatically since his arrival in my view.

Racon 8 The one moment of real class in the build up to Benson's goal and was a constant menace most of the game. Why oh why hasn't he done this more often over the last 4 years? MOM

Wright Phillips 7 Showing more in general play. Clinical finish and will be given the assist for Benson's goal. Can't ask much more from a striker

Benson 7 Workrd hard and showed his predatory abilities with his goal. Easy to forget that he has scored as many as BWP.

n/a Stewart 6 Nice cross for Jose's goal

n/a Eccleston 6 Looked up for it but no real chance to impress in the short time available

n/a Nouble 6 One good run no time for much else
  • All based on second half performance! Thought the first half was too surreal for words. Time wasting and some dire football made it all a rather painful first 45.

Elliot - 6 Can't blame him for the goal and, apart from the 2 chances they had in stoppage time, looked OK. Don't see what all the fuss is about him....
Solly - 6 Not really troubled and looks composed on the ball. Put in a couple of decent crosses. Is it me or does he look a bit Nobby Stiles-ish with teeth?
Dailly - 6 Solid display. A couple of scary moments but overall a good performance.
    Llera - 6 Solid display.
Bessone - 6 Much improved in the second half. Got some crosses in and solid defensively.
Wagstaff - 5.5 Plays better with Solly in the side. Needs to make more of an impact in games though and a stupid booking at the end.
Semedo - 6 I will gladly take back my comment made in the preview for this game. Such a pity its been closed! Proper glad to see him score his first valley goal though. Also played some lovely balls wide instead of choosing to panic-shoot at goal.
Parrett - 7 Looks composed on the ball. Some neat skill and works hard. Sign him up!
Racon - 8 Lovely cross for BWP to shoot and set up the first for Benno. Much better second half. A clumsy first half compared to a sublime second half.
Benson - 7 A real nuisance for the defenders and kept running and was alert to latch on to rebound from BWP's shot.
Wright-Phillips - 7 At last we have a goal poacher I have not seen since the days of Mendonca. And if he is not fully fit then he will be deadly next season.

Stewart - 7 just for the perfect cross for Semedos goal. Quality. Nouble and Ecclestone both did OK when they came on.
  • Elliot 7 - He is a good goalkeeper, but he does make me nervous with kicking, and from set plays.
Solly 8.5 - My man of the match, kept possession well, isn't afraid to go backwards, supports and understands Wagstaff, and some great defending.
Dailly 7.5 - Had a good game at the back, I like his runs from defence, but there is no real movement apart from Benson, who struggles to make ball stick.
Llera 7.5 - Dominant aerially, and tries to hit crossfield diagonals with some technique involved which is good to see. Tehoué did cause him problems though.
Bessone 7.5 - Great left back, can use either foot as comfortable as the either, if only he had some level of pace.
Wagstaff 7 - Enthusiasm is simply amazing, the running and effort he puts in is inspiring, especially for the crowd to get behind the team
Semedo 7 - He isn't my cup of tea, but he did score, and it was a good run. He NEVER closed their No.8 once in the entire first half. CM's cannot do this.
Parrett 6.5 - Done well in patches, but again I think he lacks the ability to close the ball down, get caught in possesion and out of position.
Racon 5 - I don't know how he gets in the team. Very poor first half, with a slightly better second. Not good enough, give Reid a run of games.
Wright Phillips 6.5 - Wouldn't get in any team is he didn't score goals. He contributes an absolute zero in open play. Tough one to balance really.
Benson 8 - His work ethic was amazing, and his tries to put himself in good positions to receive the ball. Won headers and was between him and Solly for my MotM.

Stewart 6.5 - Good cross for goal, but I think something is missing from his game, maybe his positioning?
Eccleston 6 - I think he is a good player, obviously pacey, he does, in my opinion play better on the right of midfield.
Nouble 6 - Good run, I don't know why he didnt cut across his man onto his right and have a shot?

Pretty low marks for a win, but the first half most of them were dire. All better in the second though.
  • Elliot-6- Not much to do
Solly- 7- links up well with Wagstaff and always plays his heart out
Dailly-8-Usual steady game and great distribution/ driving runs
Llera-6.5- Steady enough- too keen to hoof the ball
Bessone-6.5- Steady but not the best going forward
Wagstaff-6- Crossing let him down a few times
Semedo-7.5-Usual good game and great passion after his goal
Parrett-8- the lad is pure class, lovely on the ball and sees the game well
Racon-7- Touch let him down a few times, but a good cross and couple of good shots
Wright Phillips-7- Would have been 6 but for 'assist' and well taken goal. Touch lets him down sometimes
Benson-9-MOM- Looked up for it, alive for his goal, passed the ball well and was a willing runner.
