  • Err is this Jonathan Acworth?
  • we looked at him last season and someone (Parky ?) decided they didn't want him, although he was knocking goials in for fun at Dartford.

So Norwich came in for him ..............and we pursued Benson !!

Until we sort our scouting out we will remain in this poxy league and all the local talent will get bought up by the likes of Millwall, Norwich, etc etc.
  • Turned him down but signed Pawel Abbott!!

He signed for Norwich in the season we were both relegated from the Championship. So perhaps when Pardew was here. He played in the 4-2 on the last game of that season, although maybe only as a sub.

He made a small impact with a couple of goals but was perhaps seen a bit like Dickson was here, in that he was not seen as good enough as a regular starter and needed to improve certain areas of his game to make it in L1/Champ.

However, he never really got a run of games at Norwich and has certainly benefited from the step down and regular games. Perhaps now he is ready for a step up again, not sure he is what we need though as we have the pacey, poacher in BWP and imho we need a partner for BWP who can hold the ball up and do all the running. Remember against Peterbrough when Eccles and BWP started, the ball kept coming back and our front two were ineffective. In the second half when Abbott partnered BWP we were a new side.

Would like to keep Anyinsah but we also need another "target man", Steve Howard or such like.
