  • nobody back yet! all on the beach! ;-)
  • I would have thought it's a bit dark outside now for the beach?
  • Elliot- 9 MOM - Robbie is nothing if not a good shot stopper and for a host of great saves and for saving us a point he gets MOM.
    Solly- 6
Dailly - 7 Had a real handful in Fletcher
    Llera- 6
    Bessone- 5 Wayward distribution
Wagstaff- 6 Johnny on the spot for his goal, little else
    Semedo- 6
Parrett- 6 The lad has ability, but too often was bypassed as others would pass square and then back to Robbie then hoooof!
Racon 6 Some nice touches and ball control, but part of a midfield that was second best
Nouble - 5 Nice run and shot for the first goal, but offered nothing else
Wright Phillips - 7 Never seems to let you down when a goal is needed (But if he hadn't scored I would have given him 4 - did nothing else)
Anyinsah-6 Looked more likely than Nouble but that's all

  • We should have separate player rating thread for those that listened on the wireless or match thread

It's also bloody freezing down here now, Oggy.
A beautiful morning but the temperature dropped quite dramatically late afternoon!

  • Elliot-9-MOM- Easily one of his best performances for us. Saved us a point with some brilliant stops, especially late on.
    Solly-6.5- Looked fairly steady.
Dailly- 6.5- Competed well and looked steady.
Llera-6- Looked shaky at times but competed well
Bessone-6- Too keen to hoof it but steady defensively
Wagstaff-6.5- Still looks far too anonymous. Gets an extra half mark for his goal
    Semedo-6.5- Competed well as usual
Parrett-7- Best outfield player. Looks very confident and good on the ball. Also takes up good positions and is positive.
Racon-6.5- Doesn't look entirely comfortable on the left but is getting better there. As usual good touches on the ball and one good effort on goal
Nouble-6-Was occasionally a threat in behind, and worked hard as usual. But he just doesn't really offer us anything.
Wright Phillips-6.5- Extra mark for his goal. Otherwise did nothing, touch deserted him a few times and actually looked quite lazy at points.
Anyinsah- 6- tried to compete but he and BWP both need a partner that compliments their strengths better

Probably a bit lucky to get a point, but that's now two creditably points in a row, we need to follow it up with some more results!

  • Elliot 9 been a critic in the past but shot stopping is his forte and he earned us the point with 5-6 saves out of the top draw today
Solly 7 solid enough though looked knackered after 30 mins - clearly not quite match fit but that will come with games
Dailly 7 did okay and still in great shape for his age
Llera 5 poor, tries hard but at least 3 schoolboy errors that could have led to goals against a better strike pairing
Bessone 4 awful, so poor I was shocked. vulnerable in defence and offered absolutely nothing going forward. bad mistake at the end led to their guy slamming the ball against the bar after Elliot made a very good first save
Wagstaff 7 tried hard and good goal but seems to lack a cutting edge
    Semedo 7 averagely decent performance
Parrett 6.5 bit disappointed as showed some touches of skill but regularly gave the ball away and his delivery from dead balls was very, very poor
Racon 7 looked sharp when he got the ball and had a decent shot and header both of which forced good saves. we needed to get him more of the ball
Nouble 6 set up the goal with a good run and shot but did nothing else. not a target man or able to hold the ball up and link up with the midfield
Wright Phillips 7.5 did what he's paid to do and took his chance very well - goals per game record says it all
Anyinsah 6 didn't manage to get involved but should be starting alongside BWP from now on

Elliot- 9 MOM - Looks to have lost a bit of weight - excellent stops and even a fantastic save for their first tipping Racon's misclearance onto the bar. One of the best keepers at this level - and the potential to go further - end of.
Solly- 6 Battled but adequate rather than outstanding.
Dailly - 6 Lost most of the headers - didn't look comfortable but stuck in there like the pro he is.
Llera- 5.5 Looked a bit vulnerable out there
Bessone- 5.5 Quite a bit came from their right - found it diificult to establish heimself in th egame.
Wagstaff- 6 Scored so gets a point for that - not much else
Semedo- 6 Adequate but not at the level he was playing at not so long ago
Parrett- 6 I like him but did lose the ball a bit, also showed with some good throughballs that he could be good for us.
Racon 6 Good and bad- looked quality at times- husstled of the ball at others.
Nouble - 5.5reated the first, provides nuisance value but very raw- for such a big man, his heading is pretty poor.
Wright Phillips - 6.5 Great finish - got another decent shot off earlier- lost possesion a lot but he does what it says on the tin - scores goals.
Anyinsah-6 Not really enough time to impose himself- should have started.

This game would have been a defeat without Elliot - We scored 2 but didn't create much - We need to find a way of knocking on the door more- when yopu have a goalscorer in your team, surely you need to try to give him a few more chances.

Bournemouth - a very nice friendly club - spent a lovely day on Sunday at the front - actually caught some sun.

  • Not sure if i'm too late as it's lost its sticky but was staying down for the weekend

Elliott - 8 (MOM) - the best ever performance in an "injury time" spell.
Solly - 7 - like his composure, made a couple of basic errors which i'm putiing down to experience
Dailly - 6 - fletcher was a handful but caused too many problems for my liking
Llera - 5 - worse game of his recent run
    Bessone - 6
    Wagstaff - 6
    Semedo - 6
Parrett - 7.5 - thought he was very good until chopped from behind - had to go off and we didnt even get a free kick
Racon - 5.5 - usual frills but little product
Nouble - 5 - reasonable first half but then went AWOL
Wright-Phillips - 6 - works harder than most people give him credit for. Will never be a workhorse but then again cracking goal! Needs to grow up though - get a bit of abuse from a couple of guys , 1200 peopl singing his name but he walks off afterwards sulking!

Eccleston - did well when he came on I thought
Docherty - what was Powell doing> We were under the cosh and he takes off bessone, we go 3 at the back play Doc up front and how we survived i dont know!

Powell - set the team up well initially and obviiosly much more motivated than of late. However sub of Doc was biazzarre. I also hope he is more upbeat to the team than he is in front of the cameras. This should be a rallying call - two fighting performances
