For all the moaning minnies on here...

Get a grip people. Football is cyclical, the better times will return. Anyone who remembers travelling to Selhurst Parking lot for a home game knows exactly how bad things can be. And anyone who thinks we have some divine right to Prem status is either deluded or some kind of Johnny-come-lately 'soccer' fan. Unless you have billionaire owners your club is defined by it's supporters who carry the torch regardless cos it's in the blood. By all means make your anger and frustration known but don't come on whining like armchair Sky sports fans cos we lost a few games and we're stuck in div 3. That's life and frankly worse things happen. Yes the football is dreadful at times but when you sign up to support your club it HAS to be through thick and thin. This thing is a 'marriage' you can either fight for it or slope off to your armchair and the remote. Get your backsides down there on Tuesday and let those bumpkins know this club is still loved and well supported IN SPITE of our current (temporary) plight! Rant over.

Thankyou i couldn't have said it better , loved the bumpkins bit!

I'm not making excuses for the dross we are witnessing , but thank goodness we didn't get 10 points deducted for going into administration , or i reckon we would be screwed.
  • I don't agree that football is cyclical. The way to achieve success is not waiting for what goes around to come around, its by being a well run, financially secure club with astute management, a committed and balanced squad and strong support. We had all of these for many years and hopefully still do now. OK, with the exception of the squad!
  • We have finsihed in a lower posistion in the the League Pyramid than the previous season for 5 consecutive years now, and this will be 6. Until we buck this trend I will not be convinced things are improving. Other sides have been on long slumps over past decade but I cannot remember any others lasting this long before bouncing back, maybe with the exception of Bradford.
