McCormack

edited March 2011 in General Charlton
I honestly think he is the worse player to ever wear the Charlton shirt. I dread every game knowing that he is somehow in the squad. Can't wait to see the back of him

Comments

  • Always gets selected for some reason
  • I just honestly can't see why. He is worse than the likes of Abott and yet he is still here and playing week in week out
  • Also there is something about his face that I hate.

When you look at his career he has always been farmed out on loan until Southend signed him.
  • Commentator on CAFC Player just said his set pieces have been good and has been one of the bright sparks for us today.
  • Must have got the players names wrong, since when has McCormick ever been a bright spark, he is AWFUL
  • Fkking rubbish , bright spark my arse
  • Did anyone on this thread, see the game today? Generally speaking I'd agree he has had a lot of poor performances and is to date one of the worst players we have ever had. However, that doesn't mean he didn't play well today.
  • Not a Macca fan, but when doing the match thread the commentators were saying he was one of the best addick players out on the field today....set pieces were very good apparently.....mind you one swallow does not a summer make!!
If he was good...were the others just bloody awful then????????
  • i blame francis
  • Is it me or has he closed his Twitter account?

  • Closed it a week or so ago.
  • Yea he has, I was looking forward to asking him pleasantly to F*** OFF
  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

    Man can't take abuse
  • If he is going to play games like the way he is, he should at least be man enough to take the criticism he should be recieving

If anyone has been abusing any of our players on Twitter then they need to take a long good look at themselves. Jeez, no wonder players don't want to put a shift in if (yes - if) that is how our fans behave.
  • I haven't but to be honest the only reason they do get criticised is because of their awful performances, NOT the other way around

IMO the worst midfielder I've seen in a charlton shirt. but then again there was amdy faye....

Nope he's the worst midfielder i've seen wearing the shirt , can we give him an award at the end of the season?
  • Playing McCormack worries me more in relation to Powell - what is he thinking? I saw the team and wondered where the threat was going to come from. We need a cretaive midfielder - and wing backs. I think Jenkinson is a great prospect but Francis is the better bet for me going forwards and I despair when we can only play Fry there -play 3 at the back with Semedo helping out when required- Llera is left footed so it is worth a try and get Reid in the team for some width FFS.
  • Reid was worse.....I dont think McCormack is any worse than the rest apart from Reid (the mind boggles why he has become so bad). Yes I was there today.

If you have a bad day at the office does anyone tell you "you are the worst employee ever at the company and you should f%#* off back to yor last job"

There's a difference between constructive criticism and plain abuse. You'll probably understand when you start sprouting body hair
  • Shit, Shit and even more Shit..................
  • You have to have players who can pose a threat - the starting 11 didn't have enough in it -McCormack tries his best - just shouldn't even get a sniff of a Charlton side -

My phrasing was in jest (usually I'm more articulate, as I hope my updates prove, but then again I don't post that often). McCormack has come with a hard man image and hasn't exactly shown up to that this season. He's pulled out of 50/50 challenges, he barely shows up each game except for a brief 5 minute spell every so often, and if I'm honest this is the first time I've spoken out against him on here. He's not up to scratch for us and I don't know why he was signed, other than the possibility that we needed bodies (literally, bodies) at the start of the season.

When I'm wrong, people take the piss out of me. That is natural; I'd expect it. McCormack probably was, justifiably, on the receiving end of a lot of stick. Constructive criticism and abuse are obviously different things; there's no need to patronise me. It's just that as an uncharacteristically moronic, devoted and above all frustrated Charlton fan, I would abuse rather than "constructively" criticise straight after a match as I'd need to let off steam. I've never said anything to McCormack on Twitter (PatrickPamment, go check if you like, I don't tweet all that often), but I wouldn't hold it against anyone who has done. He's simply not up to scratch and I cannot see why he's in the team over Racon.

The body hair comment was unneccessary. So what if I'm 17?
  • Mccormack was not the worst player out there today, although i would have lost him before Waggy. He now takes abuse for reputation rather than performance.

As for twitter account, we complained in the prem that players were too remote from the fans, but when we get players who are willing to interact with fans they are abused.

McCormack makes Amdy Faye look like Fabregas. The bloke makes me sick when he rolls around feigning injury. If he actually concentrated on playing football and not whinging and moaning like a cheat then he might of been useful. But he ain't.
  • At half time today I was again wondering what the hell he's supposed to bring to the team, particularly in a wide position. In the second half though, combining with Parrett & Solly's commitment, he at least applied himself and tried to make a game of it, albeit without the necessary pace or skill to match. Not a lot to ask of a professional footballer I admit, but he really wasn't the worst today, and didn't hide. As mentioned, he probably took the brunt of people's understandable frustration because of what's gone before.
