We might as well just have a good time

edited March 2011 in General Charlton
I know I may get slated for this but just give it a read.

The truth is, we now have nothing to aim for this season. So there are two ways you can look at it, one is to be depressed and give up or the other is to have a good time knowing that whatever happens we'll be in the same situation next season. What I'm saying is that we may as well a good time and enjoy ourselves, after all what's the point in just being down about it. So starting tomorrow we should get behind the team and have a laugh, what harm can it do?

worth a try, il try to get the chant of lets pretend weve scored a goal going and have a good day out
  • Spot on! I've been discusted with the team recently I've used words to describe the players that I've never used before.
BUT, at the end of the day part of going to Football is to have a laugh, have a few beers too many and enjoy the day, especially at away games, Bournemouth away next weekend for me is gonna be madness!
Come on Charlton!! Even though we are shite!! COYR
  • Well said Freddie, though the conger should be started at Ongar
  • I admire your spirit, Freddie. Good on yer. Why not, eh?
  • Let's face it. We have a club to support for the long haul with the new owners and we haven't been wiped out by a tsunami and we still have a forum to moan and groan on :-)

Well its only a 35 minute drive from me in essex and I was tempted to take my son to his first away game and what better place than an electric london/derby to cement his enforced love for the club.....

But we're going to a deer sanctuary instead

    Heady times

  • Hope there will be enough able bodies for a conga. Do let us know.
  • hopefully 99% of the fans aren't sitting either. Im row I (four from back) so hopefully im fine.
  • i'm going to have a good time - that's why i'm not going. Respect to those that are - My habitual desire to be there has long since drained away. A ground about 45 minutes drive away and not one of my friends or family are going or even contemplated going. Sign of the times.

This is why our away support is so bad :-)
