  • You lot are twitchy, someone asked about Gough, it was not my intention to criticise him but to state what I saw, as I said it was only a workout so Oggy don't try and make my comments into something that they weren't.

Would have helped if you had quoted the question,as I read it out of context, having read the previous post yesterday. So to me it looked like a random snipe, which it was not. Can understand that he is not ready for Hartlepool, but then we would not expect him to be so still not worried about him.
  • sorry but don't know how to quote - it's me age guv!

Make sure you have BBCode at the bottom of the page switched on.
Simply go to the post you want to quote and on that person's post, click on the word quote on the right hand side.
Simples. Although you can only do it if it's on the current page. If it's on a previous page your only option is to cut and paste, but then of course it doesn't come out yellow.

Aw, you do sound cross with me, Lancs. Were these my comments that upset you?
[cite]Posted By: Oggy Red[/cite]Everyone knows a player's performance in games is irrelevant.

He can only be properly assessed in the warm up. FACT!
Read it again. Definitely tongue in cheek, mate. Hence the word "FACT!"

    ;o)
  • Oggy - sorry didn't understand FACT, a bit too subtle for me after that game ;o)

  • Just a Charlton Life-ism, Lancs.

But then you have to be in The Clique to use it. FACT!

First time for me too :)
  • [cite]Posted By: Granpa[/cite]....... do I get a badge ?

Only if you pay. £25 if you're in The Clique.
  • I only paid £13.21, perhaps it's 'cause I'm opp north
  • Everything is cheaper Oop North, Lancs. Houses, beer, membership of The Clique, CL badges ..........
    FACT!
  • especially the beer, but it's very fizzy - hic

This was on Football Rumours about Sullivan a couple of weeks ago.

    17 Mar 2011 08:43:01

Coventry are set to replace out bound Kieren Westwood with Millwall goalkeeper John Sullivan. Sullivan will leave the London side for around £150,000 and with the current money problems at Coventry, players like this will make a huge difference on bargain buys.
  • Loan extended till end of season.
  • Going to have his work cut out tomorrow, big test for Sullivan.
  • Very Impressive,
some nice catches from crosses which help take the pressure of the back 4
    Some good saves aswell

Spoke to a Brighton fan yesterday his comments were : he is a very good goal kepper but can't kick for s***

    DEANO, DEANO,DEANO
  • Sorry Robbie on what I have seen I would prefer Sullivan next season. Might be the competition that inspires RE to kick on. Having said that I would prefer CP to invest in some real quality and experience. A commanding goalkeeper can win you as many points over a season as a top striker.

I remember when Curbs paid £1m for Deano from Bury and thinking thats too much for a goalkeeper,he should be spending the money elsewhere. And that my friends is why Curbs managed for real and I do it on Football League Manager

i agree with that. His kicking wasn't especially accurate but his command of his area was good and he was very vocal. Shame about the goal but I would probably have got out of the way of it too!

Takes the pressure of the defence, his abilty to play a swepper role for anything over the top behind a relativly slow back four. The goal no blame against him i didn't see it till it flew back out of the net
  • Sullivan looked solid & more commanding than our 2. However, we can't properly judge him after 2 games.
Unfortunately, he didn't line up the wall correctly at either free kick which resulted in the goal.
Bizarrely, the wall didn't have enough men & was lined up down the centre of the goal.
The Hudds player had a clear sight of goal to shoot either side of the wall, withouit needing to curl it.
I could see they would score, before he even shot. All he had to do was kick it straight witha bit of power :-(
