This rumour is doing the rounds on the Brighton forum the North Stand .
They seem to think JJ is out of contract in the summer and will sign a pre contract for them if the Addicks are not promoted , he played with Gus at Spurs.
I was under the impression we had secured him for two years , but as a natural left footer if true I feel he would be a difficult player to replace .

Also thought we had secured him for 2 years.
Could not blame him for going, Championship side most probably with a new ground, good manager and very bright future.
Oh that mongy fan from the Poyet rumour thread is going to come back and rub our noses in it isn't he?
Apologies for the cynicism, I'm just struggling to see how anyone who knows what they are doing, especially someone who wants to play football, would be interested in anything we have to offer.
He would be silly to go there.

Unbeaten at home since goodness knows when.
Brought 3000 to the Valley on a midweek night game.
Brighton are - what Charlton were..............going places !
Saying that, I just don't see it... he'll be 29 in the summer, has had his fair share of injuries and hasn't played Championship football since 2007/08. He's achieved a lot since coming in but I get the impression that the top part of this league is his level. Though he could do a job in the league above, I get the impression that Brighton will have far more ambitions than that.
Moved away from nottingham to live with his family again, cant see him wanting to move again, not that far brighton to essex. But not a journey you could make everyday
And he's cancelled his Bromley Addicks event
:-O
On the minus side
In terms of family and with the M25 Brighton is not Nottingham so it is commutable .
Curbs lived in Essex throughout his 3 year playing spell at the Goldstone and Jacko is 29 next season he would already have spent 3 years out of the CCC so time is not on his side if he wants to play at that level again. He was also very loyal to Parky as he had given him one of his first loan moves when he was at Colchester.
On the other hand having read his interviews I believe he does see the potential in Charlton and might if Dailly and Semedo left in the summer be a good captain for us next season . I can't see him being a guarenteed first team place with Brighton but being more of a squad rotation player . At Charlton he would be a mainstay and if promoted could grow with the team .
As I understand it all the players are unavailable for Tuesday night, which is why both he and Worner have had to drop out - I feel you may be taking 2 and 2 and making 5.
Sssh...Conspiracy theories are better
Saga is correct. Nothing to do with a transfer.
See if they still want him after that
Sorry no sentiment in football
Erm, if he's out of contract, we can't ask for sod all.
