I thoroughly enjoyed the quiz in yesterday's programme. I fact it was probably the most enjoyable part of yesterday's match (other than laughing at Nouble's effort hitting the top of the Jimmy Seed).
One thing that really interested me was the Cliff Durandt question; Whose mother paid £4,000 to buy back the playing registration of this 1962-65 Charlton forward? Why did she do that? and What happened next? I'm sure there must be some story behind this.

If you don't know you wife's first name how can you expect to win a quiz? : - )
Not sure if that was Matt's fault or mine but if it was me then apologies to Natalie Annette and you.
Good quiz questions though.

Any transfer fee is basically to cover the cost of the player's registration ... that's what you buy when you pay for a player. Not the player, but the cost of his registration.
So Mrs Durandt paid for his registration ... £4k apparently, although I remember that £15k was quoted at the time. Now, freed from his contract, young Cliff was able to go back home to South Africa.
I also recall that he fell over a lot.
