They will see this season out & (hopefully) give him some money to spend in the summer so that he can build his own team.

If we are still in this position next season then they will act - but certainly not before xmas........

They brought him in for the long haul. He'll be here mounting a challenge for promotion next year. The board already wrote off this year, so everyone might as well give up their cases.

Unless there is something of tragic proportions between now and the end of the season he will be given money to spend in the summer and the time to shape his own squad
