Am I the only person who thinks that a few of the players from the youth squad a chance in the starting 11, we haven't really got that much to lose now, might aswell see what they've got?

Tempting but needs to be done with care.
Pardew almost destroyed Wagstaff by bringing him prematurely into a poorly performing side. He then scapegoated and humiliated him to the extent that Parky had to work long and hard on rebuilding his confidence.
Chris Powell wouldn't conduct himself like that arrogant cock Pardew but there is a danger of destroying fragile youthful confidence in a poorly performing side playing in front of hostile, disgruntled fans.

Spot on Len.

The coaching staff see and watch these players every day. Some of them will evidently just not be good enough, and would be worse than those who currently start. Many of these players haven't excelled at non-league level, they'd be out of their depth in League 1.
[cite]Posted By: East Kent Addick[/cite]On the other hand Jenkinson (and before him Shelvey) has stepped into a poor side and excelled - I suppose it depends on the individual
That's true. However it's also clear that both of those are exceptional by our standards and destined for better than league 1.

Though I think Jenkinson will stay for at least next season - he's not proven anything to people outside the club just yet. Look at Basey, good number of apps at Championship and League 1 level but had to drop down to League Two for 6 months.
Since I look at my best in a suit these days, can I be manager please? Can't wait to kick a lucazade bottle into one of those advertising hordings when a fellow lifer misses a sitter.

Jenkinson will probably go in the summer.
Put my name down!

Not Sure.
