  • "There was definitely interest from other clubs, but I've seen that youngsters have come through the ranks regularly at Charlton, whereas that doesn't seem to happen at bigger clubs."
  • Clearly no ambition then.

What a waste of money Valley Gold is. Might as well close the Academy now.

    (what the smiley for sarcasm?)
  • Some good news at last!
  • Excellent news out of the last month or so. If we can keep hold of him a future Charlton captain. There are some good youngsters coming through and hopefully Charlton can keep on producing the players to push for the first team. The future's bright!
  • Jordon's cousin? Would ya?
  • The next Rio?
  • For anyone that doesn't know - this lad is the real deal. Superb talent, adaptable and seems to have a really good attitude. The games I've seen him in he is vocal, supportive and not once did he show signs of being a Billy Big Spuds

great to get him signed up, great that he's a Charlton fan and definitely one to look forward to seeing. Probably not this season as it wouldn't be fair to him (though if we've nothing to lose then you never know)
  • Along with Jenkinson breaking through this gives me some hope for next season .

I only wish that one of Cousins , Jenkinson and Solly were left sided though .
  • Can't wait to see him play 1st team.
If thats not a reason to renew your ST I do't know what is.

  • As a Valley Gold member and a regular at Sparrows Lane i am delighted that Jordan has signed pro forms. Now if he can grow 2to 3 inches and bulk up a bit he has the potential to be a very good Centre half. Plenty of pace and natural ability. Has also got a good football brain, a valuble commodity.
  • Maybe we can shortcut the process - bring out the rack and lots of cakes!
  • Excellent - keeps us all in hope - and boy do we need some good news!
  • Excellent news.

And about time we had a player with braids...just as long as no nasty centre forwards decide to tug them.
  • Never seen him but if he turns out as good as we hope then he maybe the man/boy to lead us back to the CCC.

No better level to see if he's any good than league One
  • Bit of good news. Super player. If we have a team with him at full back and Jenks in the middle we'll have the basis for a great defence for many years to come
  • Is he as strong in the middle and at centre half as he is at right back? If there's one position where we have a glut of young talent (that doesn't include you, Mr Francis), it's right back.

Seems to play centre back for the u18s more than anywhere else going on the match reports. Could still turn out to be best at central midfield, we'll see.

From what I've seen he's not yet physical enough to play centre back for the first team, but plenty of time as he's only just turned 17 (today I think actually).
  • He sort of looks like a girl who likes like a boy.
