2-0 win - Jenks getting his first goal
  • If fit I think Bessone will come straight back in and Jenks will replace Francis. If a scenario happens where Bessone starts and Jenks loses his place then I can see more than a few wanting to lynch Powell. I don't care who plays in midfield as long as McOxo isn't one of them. Expect Hayes to start alongside BWP. I can't contempt another defeat although it wouldn't surprise me. I'll go for a 2-2 draw.
  • Who the hell is Hayes?

Exactly what i was thinking - have we signed a new striker?
  • Maybe, maybe not. I reckon we will have before midday on Saturday.

    So who is Hayes then?
  • Only lost once in 21 games v brentford at the valley.....and that was 85 years ago

    Think we'll win this 2-0

Would like to see either Solly start at RB or switch Jenkinson over if Bessone is fit.
Seeing McOxo in the starting 11 is gonna hurt but think thats what we can expect.
Worrying lack of strikers right now, hope this loan comes off or think we could regret letting both PA and Sodje leave.
Hope to see Worner in goal and have a good showing, would do his confidence good and give the defence a boost too.

Paul Hayes, currently at Preston. Was reported about ten days ago that we had a loan bid rejected. This week he wasn't in their first team squad v Leeds but played 90 minutes for the reserves on Wednesday. Watch this space.
  • I normally think we''ll win but for some reason I think we'll get tanked by 3 or 4. Hoping to see a couple of new faces but think it will take a while to turn things around.

  • Hayes will be the saviour of this season

I see the OS mentions that Solly can play in midfield so

    Worner

    Jenks Daily Llera Bessone

Solly Jose Racon Waggy (although I think he's wasted on that side)

I think the first team played against that lot in training yesterday.

Got a 1 - 1 draw but Trip wire was sent off.
  • Think Messi could save the season

    Too small and completely overrated.
  • Hoping to see:

    --Waggy----Parrett
    Semedo----Reid

    Eccles
    BWP

Subs: Etheridge, Racon, Fry, McCormack, Francis, Solly, Harriot. (Popo may get on bench as we're light up front)
  • I'll second Mart77's choice exactly! Unless we get Paul Hayes in and I'd swap Eccles....

Agree other than Hayes, as CAFC- West says.

Also Stav on the bench in place of McCormack. Give him a last chance to shine.

  • Matt Fry is in the reckoning, but Federico Bessone is unlikely to feature, despite playing 90 minutes for the reserves on Wednesday after shaking off a hamstring injury.

"I still think Fede might need a bit more training and it might be a bit early for him to come in," said Powell.

"Johnnie, Joe, Gary and Rob are all out. They're key players who have played their part this season and it's a shame. So again, we'll have to look upon others and we need them to take their chance now.

"We're on a bad run and we need to arrest the slide. I'm more than happy that the boys that are in there can turn it around for us.

"It's a London derby, so Brentford will bring a few fans and they'll be in good voice. They've lost their last two and they'll be looking to stop their slide. They've got a couple of players who are ex-Charlton in Myles Weston and Charlie MacDonald, if he's fit, and they'll have a point to prove."

He added: "I know Nicky well. They'll be looking at it as a chance, but so will we. We're in good heart. Our fans will be behind us and we need to play like we did in the second half of our last home game against Tranmere. We can put teams on the back foot and I feel we can do that against Brentford."
  • A convincing win of 3-0 + is definatly needed for this game. On current form we look poor in all areas of the pitch but we are still capable and can be a good team on our day, we just need a lot more fight in the team and have the mentality of "scoring more goals than the opposition" rather than trying to be tactical and cautious. 4-4-2 Please.
  • Gonna look for some odds on us to miss a penalty :-) :(
  • home win, 2 or 3 goal margin. found a marble late tuesday night in the fire place, put it in my pocket, since then ive gota job won a fiver on a scratch card and the ex is being nice again. home win pls.

  • This is a match we should be winning regardless of all the suspensions/injuries/out of form players/etc.

However having been following us for close to 20odd years now, this is the worst no most inept side I remember.

Can see us scoring but cant see us conceeding - 1-1
  • now we have two good loan players in im feel bit more happy
