    Feel really sorry for him, he's always tried his best since joining us, but it just hasnt worked out since powell arrived

    Effort is what it is all about when you are were we are, you can forgive them most things but not a lack of effort. If they are trying then we should not spoutt so much hatred at them, it is not their fault they are playing for us

    More concerned that Francis nearly gifted them another goal tonight. How this guy who by far and large has been useless all season still gets in ahead of Jenkinson and a fit again Solly is beyond me.

    I'm not sure that just 'trying' is good enough though, especially in the position we find ourselves. Anyone can put the effort in, I'm sure 13,000 on a saturday would put the effort in, but if they cannot do the business on the pitch and help win football matches, they are quite frankly stealing a living imo.


    We have BWP and Anyinsah, both of whom are better players imo. So it's not just a case of Benson reflecting the standard of the league etc. He is just not good enough to get us where we want to go.

    I would agree that BWP and Anyinsah are better players than Benson. However, despite injury, suspension and 'not being good enough' (in the words of some people), he's managed to score 8 goals in the league (including a few matchwinners) and is our second-highest scorer. Benson may not be our best player but I don't think he should be so heavily criticised, he's definitely not been our worst player this season. If we play to his strengths he will score. Low balls into the box from wide are what he thrives on, not long balls from central defence.

    Our bad form coincides with fry getting dropped, then jackson injured. Now Benson unhappy. Your mates are out of action- or you stop being mates- work is less fun.
