Let's Make The Valley A Fortress

edited March 2011 in General Charlton
As I'm sure ur all aware 6 home games are left until the end of the season. So let's hope Powell and the lads can give us some great performances to get us in the play-offs. I think us fans can do our bit too, by making some noise to put the opposition off playing. We already give the opposition Keeper some stick so let's add to that by trying to wind up all of the other opposition players.

Any one with me?

  • I'm with you.

I know some people at The Tank Museum. Shall I ask them if we can borrow a Panzer and a Sherman and stick one behind each goal?
  • Yep lol, that will do nicely
  • It's a lovely thought, but the only way you will do it with the current squad is with bricks and mortar.
  • Pardew got lots of things wrong - but he was right about one thing.

Visiting fans should not be directly behind a goal. They should be tucked away in a corner somewhere - preferably in an upper tier (like Spurs).

This makes it harder for them to encourage their team.

Our next problem would be filling the big empty space :(
  • My nieces sylvanian family holiday cabin is more of a fortress than The Valley will ever be, put it that way.
  • Well, my neighbour's got a shotgun - will that help.
  • yawn zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  • Guys im not suggesting stupid comments,

I jus mean lets make a bit more noise to force opposition teams into making mistakes and getting them irritated

I'm with you conza. I sit by a corner flag and always make sure to scream my loudest whenever and away player takes a corner.
But I shall try to amp it up further.

    Agreed

I'd stick them in the top of the west, south end. Then do a special offer on the JS stand, £15 a ticket for adults. I'd sit there for that.
  • Good thinking.

Then make the JS the family stand.
1 adult and child ticket for £20 or whatever.

Then populate it with any school ticket initiatives / free ticket promotions etc and try to build up support like the Exeter game.
  • Fortress! Its as scary as a bouncy castle.
