I take from the fact you're reading a match day programme in bed that you don't possess unbelievable tekkers!

lol, i'm in the cocoa generation mate !
  • Trouble is if he's from Arsenal he will expect the ball at his feet! Who is going to put it there? This will be a total waste of time unless we get one or even two central midfield players

  • Zak played in the same team as my brother a few years back. Best young talent I've ever seen, scary ability. When I spoke to Andy at the Plymouth game he said that Zak wanted to come down here to get some football so this is quite possible, although I would say next season might be a bit early for him.
  • 17 is very young, but Arsenal youngsters seem to be ready for first team football earlier than most. This comment on their website is encouraging too:

"A good finisher who also holds up the ball very well, Zak will be hoping to spearhead the Under-18s attack in their Academy League title defence."

Hold up play is sorely missing from our attack so if he's good at it, that should be a good thing. He's the sort of age where we could hope to get him back next season too, if it were to go well this season.

Not really, he is a pretty boy which I thought Curb-it, who was already asking his age, might appreciate.
  • Very good talent but not very popular with a few Arsenal supporters for celebrating when Man Utd scored against the first team last season.
  • Doesn't look that pretty to me - the right side of his face is lower than the left side.
  • I've known Andy for years and watched Zak progress from a talented young boy in the mini soccer ranks,,,,,hopefully Zak will have a great future! And if he can help us on his way up even better.

    Nice one!
  • Is he a centre back? No.
Is he a creative midfielder? No.

    Not interested then.
  • Sounds good to me.

And Henry...methinks you protest too much !

LOL. I'm comfortable enough with my sexuality. He reminds me at the same age : - )
  • I have actually played alongside Zak!

I'm a year older than him, but he was playing a year above when we was together at youth team level, for Sydenham Sports, who are now Cray Wanderers who's senior team play in the Ryman Premier Divsion.

Back then you could tell he was a class act and had a chance of making it professional. He was very quick even then, and could dribble very well, however, when I saw him playing for the England U16's the other year, he was very tall, and his game didn't seem to be based entirely on pace, I thought he would be more of the Defoe type of striker, but he reminded me of a Berbatov type player, suppose that's what Arsenal does for you, all about the touch and control.

Oh, and on Facebook he listed Charlton Athletic as one of his favourite teams!
  • Are you joking - even next season he is still a child! Don't care who his father, godfather or sister is - he is a slightly built boy!

Looks a good prospect but would he be the Ansah?
  • Huddersfield have got another Arsenal striker on loan this season who is only 18 Benik Afobe, they seem quite impressed with him. There is no way Wenger would send him out on loan if he didn't think he was ready for it.
  • How old was Song when he came to us? Only 17 or 18.

Born 1987. Joined us 2007. 20 years old.
  • Bad example then. : - )
  • He played for the England U16s at Yeovil when Cousins played and I think scored a late winner.
