  • Elliot confirmed as out.
  • We need to win..will we,well thats a question,I say potatoe you say pertatoe ,lets call the whole thing off.
Apart from the Hatrlepool game our away form has been decent as a rule.
I`m going for a 2 1 victory so preparing to get egg on my face come 10.00pm tommorow night.
  • seen nothing to suggest we will win given our current form . more woe to come and all my confidence that this season can be salvaged departed v Carlisle. 2 - 0 to MK
  • i really fancy us to win this 3-1 gonna have a £5.00 bet on us .

and a semedo hat trick ,i really need to pack up the drinking.
  • No confidence, no belief, no momentum, no new players, no chance
    4-1 (BWP)
  • Anyone getting the coach to this? I am coming back on it and just wondered if anyone could let me know where i should head afterwards. I have a corporate thingy wig a firm I dragon with there. Ta
  • Can see us going down 2 or 3 nil. Zero confidence in this one.
  • Going more in hope than expectation. However I do fancy us to pull a result out of the bag so I am going for a 2-1 win for us, BWP and a Big Mig winner.

what i would like to see as i think this would allow us to play possesion/passing football, which would make up for the lack of service into the box.

anyways back to reality, i dont think the formation/line-up will be changed much as the "rot has been stopped". hopping for a win, as a lose would end our season. but if we do lose i think it will be time prepare for next season and bring through accedemy lot that could make an impact next season, but also then it would also be safe to change up formation and test things out.
  • 5 games ago I'd never have dreamt that today our season could end so soon, but here we are.

Hopefully stadiummk is as lifeless as it was last season and they are all at home watching Baca/Arsenal meaning our boys can play under a little less pressure as we know their confidence is at their lowest and errors are costing us a goal a game.

No wild formations tonight just a solid 4-4-2 and hopefully we can produce a backs against the walls performance to keep our season alive.

Leaving at about 3pm to drive down the M1

Have to say I'm tempted to drive straight past!

As BRE says, I, ever the realist (as some would label pessimist) started to believe after that Peterboro game that we were on to something and that Bournemouth were still capable of being reeled in and why couldn't it be by us given the inconsistency of Hudds, Southampton, Pboro et al.

Well here we are, 5 games against mediocre opposition later, one point to show for it and it's absolutely make or break tonight. Make no bones about it, if we lose this game, forget the maths calculations and the "it's still possible"... we will NOT be going to the play-offs and the "board write the season off" post will come to fruition, if it hasn't already done so.

I'm not so much nervous, but feeling resigned, hopefully the likes of Powell and Dyer have ensured that isn't what the lads are feeling.

4-4-2 no fannying about. We have a goal in us, we all know that... Notts C aside when we missed three one on ones and a penalty I can't remember the last league game we didn't score in.

KEEP A CLEAN SHEET AND WE WIN... oh wait

  • Haven't got a clue - could win, lose or draw - just like every other game this season. I know that's stating the obvious but this division is sucha lottery it's impossible to predict.
  • At least playing away you would have thought that they are likely to be more offensive, so it could be an idea to play eccleston from the start to have good counter attacking outlets. Perhaps play him on the right, waggy on the left and racon and semedo in the middle. BWP and benson up top
  • The one positive thought going into this game is that Franchise FC are unlikely to use a blanket defence at home (a la Tranmere) or play a five man midfield. Which means it should be a more open game than the previous 4 or 5 games, where we've been outnumbered in midfield (Notts Co, Peterborough & Exeter). We clearly don't have the players to overcome a numerical disadvantage in central midfield or players with the footballing intelligence to break down a ten man defence. After all, thats why they are playing in the third level.

If its 4-4-2 v 4-4-2, its then up to the players to win their individual battles. They failed to do that against Carlisle, so its time for all the players selected tonight to step up to the plate and show their worth. If they have any.

I am always optimistic for a sneaky win.
  • Can I buy a ticket for the away bit tonight? (sorry if that's already been discussed).
  • An utterly soul destroying 3-0 defeat that effectively finishes our season, the only positive being that I won't have to delude myself any longer and can save myself from the time, money and misery incurred by going to Saints away, Bristol Rovers away and Walsall away.

Please prove me wrong. Please come out looking like a team that is thoroughly angry with itself for Exeter, Carlisle and first half of Tranmere, attack them from the first minute and send me home with a result that doesn't leave me yet again questionning why the hell I bother.

Not seen any ticket updates from Airman for this one, so I'm guessing that my lack of enthusiasm and optimism is shared by most of our support who will be sensibly staying at home to watch Barcelona-Arsenal.

    yes
  • Ta. I fancy some more punishment.
  • Will defend on 2 things - Firstly how the defence plays - no daft goals conceeded and whether we pose a threat at the other end. My heart says 2-1 to us but my head says we sit back - create nothing and our defence can't stop opponents from scoring - wil only be beaten by 1 though - not thrashed.
  • i'd like to think the team being away from the valley would help greatly however I doubt it, we have looked like we're pre pre-season with players who have never played together and dont honestly know whether they will start the season together or not

Home banker this one although I do still think we will score, it just wont be enough 3-1 Franchise FC

  • We have to be positive- a defensive minded display will 9 times out of 10 end in defeat the way we are defending at the moment. Realistically we need BWP and Benson to be sharp and have good games. We do have a chance though, just MK Dons have a little more chance - a draw wouldn't totally suprise me which would keep the play offs just about alive but we are reaching the point where the season has to pick up or it will definitely be too late- defeat tonight and it might already be.
  • With Wagstaff lose 2-1 without win 2-1. We must start playing 11 v 11.
  • The power of positive thinking.

Can't win games with a porous defence and lightweight midfield, even with the best striker in this league.

Flukey 1-1 (BWP) draw is best we can hope for.

El Donko to score OG to keep up his scoring record.

On a positive note, I think Jenkinson has been tremendous in recent home games at RB and LB and demonstrates we should get some more of the kids involved in the first team.

SCP will have to wait until 2012 for his moment of glory.
  • [cite]Posted By: masicat[/cite]With Wagstaff lose 2-1 without win 2-1. We must start playing 11 v 11.
Is he not our 3rd highest scorer?
  • Very strange things can happen in football : 3 - 0 away win
  • MK Dons on a rich vein of form and we're really struggling so football being the game it is, an away win is on the cards and the charge for the play-offs begins here!
  • they have never beat us
  • [cite]Posted By: nolly[/cite]they have never beat us

Will you be able to say that tomorrow? I hope so.
  • Not sure on this one could be any result
  • im going to be slightly half full and go 1-1. MK to score first.
