Hi.
I'm not sure why, but my braincell has gone a bit nostalgic and for some reason it seems to be remembering a game
which I think was back in the mid-late 70's. In those days I used to stand in the Covered End with all my mates from
Springfield Grove and I am remembering an opposition goalkeeper that was tormented so much that he threw a total
wobbly. There was all sorts of abuse being shouted at him....even when the ball was nowhere near he was getting alot
of stick from the 'Lads'.....If I remember correctly he was even giving the two finger salute, kicking the advertising
boards and in the end [I think] got sub'd.
Can anyone here remember that?? If so do you remember the team and score that day??

Guess he was getting some abuse about the time wasting, ex Milwall etc?
He came out for second half and clapped the covered end which i thought was pretty classy of him.
Then he took abuse and the usual verbals throughout the 2nd half and gave a bit back at the end which is fair enough.
Nothing in other words.
All I can remember is that it started when he took a goal kick...and the crowd did the usual
oooooooooaaaaaaaahhhhh......your shit........ahhhhh chant and something seemed to flip
in his head and gave the crowd a 'phuk hew' sign .............from that moment on he was
taunted , abused, shouted at, things thrown at him etc etc etc........
