Me too. Wish we sang it more, one of our only original songs (I hope someone doesn't ruin it to me and tell me City came up with it about a horse in Manchester 8 years ago!).
  • took me a good 6 months to get sha la la permenently out of my head.

Strangely i go through spell singing through my head songs i make up that have never ever tried to start at games.

one i always used to sing in my head was to Rule Brittania:

'we are Charlton, the pride of the Valley. You will never every beat our Dean Kiely'

and the current one regularly going round my noggin is to the tune of 'when the saints go marching in'

    oh we're Charltuuuurn,
    from the Valleeeeey,
oh we're Charlturn from the Valley,
We are the pride of South London
oh we're Charlturn from the Valley
  • I often sing
    A-R-T
    H-U-R

    ARTHUR HORSFIELD SUPERSTAR

Even though I never saw him play.
  • Kings of the south I can sing over and over and over and over...
  • Not so much a Charlton chant at the moment, but the Timmies singing "Just Can't Get Enough" at the Old Firm game.
  • [cite]Posted By: JT[/cite]Was teaching my 3 year old Niece the bouncy the other day.

I was doing it with my 2 year old god daughter.
    The secret indoctrination has begun.
  • We're shit, and we know we are.. Definitely goes through my head sometimes, but for apparent reasons!

Otherwise, recently its about "Kings of the south" or Bouncy..
  • Whats the one we have been chanting recently?

It says something about Palace & Millwall
  • Sometime at work and finish off a job, I bouncey to myself to let myself know Ive done well
  • to the tune of tom jones' delilah.

    why, why, why. Carl Tiler.

very few of us ever sang it 15? years ago so don't know why it still runs through my head.

  • Not a Charlton Chant, but for no apparent reason I found myself belting out Karl Howman's, "Oi, 'ave you sussed new Winowlene Plus" this morning.
  • We all piss in a blue and white pot (tune of Yellow Submarine) from when we played the spanners in the 60's
  • I'm always telling people why I'm humming the tune to The Adam's Family....even though I don't join in with the chant.
I also get Scunthope's Iron, Iron, Iron....for no reason whatsoever..
  • Baby Give It Up on the radio right now.

  • Shalalalalalala
  • Not a Charlton/Football chant, but there's a bloke on his way to the train station every day who is the double of Ronnie Corbett and every time I see him pass the window I'm compelled to say in my best impersonation

'' And I said to the Producer ''

Drives my Mrs round the bend. Bit sad really, need to get out more.
