A Decent Midweek Game at The Valley....

edited March 2011 in General Charlton
...used to feel like it was a regular occurance.

Since dropping out the Prem in 2007, i can only really remember possibly 4 games that were decent games where we came away with a victory:

Sep 07 - Norwich - Won 2-0 (Andy Reid getting 2 late pens, Dion Dublin getting sent off in injury time)

Jan 09 - Palace - Won 1-0 (Matt Spring scored)

Oct 09 - Barnet - Won 4-1 (tinpot JPT, but a decent game)

Nov 09 - Bristol Rovers - Won 4-2 (2-0, 2-2, 4-2)

4 games in 4 seasons.

  • Was MK Dons midweek?
  • no, a Saturday.
  • AFKA , there have been plenty of decent games , except we have not been the decent team , hence the common denominator.

No, I meant the 5-1 last season Paul, stop clogging.

For some reason I thought it was midweek.
  • Didn't we beat Palace on a Friday night? When Varney scored twice.

yep, but i classed that as a weekend, mainly because i don't normally start drinking at 1pm for a midweek game.

perhaps that's where i've been going wrong !

Yeah we were good that night, seemed to have learned our lessons and were not bullied or intimidated by Stokes tactics. Really thought after this we would push on.
