  • I bet they're quaking in their boots.............
  • Well of course...
  • If so, I hope that they have a different line -up to the last time we played them - the defenders were as big as tree trunks and their strikers we even bigger !!!!!!!!!

I'm fearing a complete walkover on Saturday - losing by another 3 or 4 goals and with us lucky to get Nil !!!
  • They've been in decent form lately and had some good results. We had a tough time of it at their place too and as Golfie says, they're the kind of side we struggle against. Got to hope we can keep the ball on the deck and moving and run around them rather than trying to go through them as we've been doing too much this year.

Tough fixture though and I can think of teams I'd rather be playing right now.

TBF golfie you'd probably still be saying that if we were top :-)
  • I thought that last night.

Just beaten at home, long trip midweek, one eye on Wembley....
  • It's going to be about us more than them. They will fancy their chances catching us at a low point but if ad can go out and impose ourselves as a better team in the first 15 mins or so then we can go on and win. Hope our players have the bottle to stand up and be counted. Might also have our Morrocan and Belgian by then ;0)
  • Tranmere just the fixture i would not pick at this moment.Okay you say Tranmere easy game nothing team, trust me been there before and failed.
Seem to remember easy fa cup 3rd round tie against this team in the 70s what happen,Big Ron Yates controlled the Tranmere back line and the Charlton attack came away with 0-0 draw.Three days later we got a second bite of the cherry and came back from Merseyside with are tail between are legs 4-2 defeat and out of the cup.Roll on to the 80s and a game at Upton Park when we just said another 3 points against Tranmere and we would be looking good for the play offs what happen 1-0 defeat and the season was DEAD.
Was it not last season that Tranmere came away from The Valley with a draw 1-1 when we were expecting to pick up all 3 points..................THIS IS JUST THE GAME WE DO NOT WANT THIS WEEKEND............
Saying all that i still expect Charlton to win on Saturday.
