Charlton intrigue
Back in January Digger mused about the intriguing talk among Charlton Athletic fans that the wealthy property developer Kevin Cash was behind the recent takeover. That buyout led to the instalment of Michael Slater as shareholder-chairman of the club, whose ultimate parent company is held in the British Virgin Islands, where shareholdings are never disclosed. Now more evidence emerges of Slater's links to Cash. A former employee at a property belonging to the Cash family is heading to an employment tribunal in Reading today, where Slater will be appearing. Digger understands that Slater denies he acts on behalf of Cash, rather he says he is acting on behalf of a management company with which the wealthy 47-year-old has close connections.

do we have to :(
I think you are right
I agree, without the guys who are at the helm now, we'd be in even more shite than we are!
I recall Slater at one point saying that Jimenez won't talk to the media and that Slater would be the public face of the takeover....
Wheres my roast chicken!?
"In another meeting later that week Michael Slater, an associate of Mr Cash, shouted “You’re fired” three times at the couple, alleging they had stolen a lap top computer and car belonging to Mr Cash.

That doesn't excuse "boorish" behaviour, although there are often two sides to wrongful dismissal cases.
I like what I've seen of Slater so far, so I hope this case gets settled to everyone's satisfaction so that that Cash can resume his low profile and Slater can focus on Charlton.
maybe he should manage the first team?
Actually it's in the Mail and Express so you can read it in safety
;0)
"I know it's sinking now, but it could be a very good boat if only someone like you were to buy it and then pay for some repairs...you could have yourself a bargain!"
Your (now ex) wife has asked me to represent her at the employment tribunal and I will be using this post as evidence of your callous treatment of her.
: - )
No, a person who has some links to Slater and who is rich maybe a tosser if you believe the Daily Mail
There is no evidence to say he is one of the owners whatsoever just a lot of conjecture and guessing.
He's one of the 80%
We don't know if Cash is involved with CAFC and we don't know the truth of the incident reported in the Daily Mail.
So people should calm down a bit before they start slaggin either him or Slater off - we simply don't know the facts of the matter. If every claim made in a court was automatically assumed to be true, then our prisons would be empty for a start.
