Charlton village closed

According to bus driver. fatal accident earlier this evening.

    Saw this as I arrived to park up.

    Was told later that a driver had had a heart attack while driving through the village, had hit the pollards opposite the Bugle before colliding with a post beyond the top of Charlton Lane.

    Can't confirm if that is true other than seeing the damage.

    Condolences to the drivers family.
