Agree Henry, however I have a feeling that it will be better for me to spend the rest of the season in a form of haze and am reaching for a glass as we speak.
[cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]C'mon, let's not give up on this side or season just yet.
This is Charlton. They never promised you a rose garden.
Live, love, laugh and be happy
Oh shut up happy ;-)
Actually, for some reason my mood has been lifted after reading Airman's comment about the mood around the place on another thread.
Onwards and upwards (eventually)
I'm expecting little for the rest of the season so play-offs for me would personally be a bonus. If we didn't have the financial stability that we do then i'd be really depressed.
Not sure if you aware of the connection with the East Kent regiment in Greenwich Henry, my grandfather joined the Buffs on Blackheath, with his elder brother . He in fact used to use the 'phrase' when a job needed doing!
Of course he was and Arsenal supporter and gave me my love of football, and bought my first Charlton kit when I was at Sherrington school, and 'converted' my brother to be a life long gooner!
I of course had much less sense! and have suffered ever since, such is the hand of fate that life deals us!
To much football still to play in this league to give up, think most fans still believe we will be in the play offs i fancy us to grab sixth spot still, some team gonna get spanked at the valley soon perhaps its carlisle

Ta....
It wasn't very long ago we had a love few people know
And everything was going oh so fine
I've trusted you you've trusted me the way that it's supposed to be
But the love slipped from us somewhere down the line
We had all of the good things going baby you know we did they were so kind
Enjoying the taste of the good life we all look for but few can't find
It's gone but we can't understand how love could slip right through our hands
On down the line things seem so very right
Our love went on for all these years we both knew that we were sincere
Then suddenly it was gone just over night
We had all of the good things...
Now that we've gone our seperate ways I still recall those brighter days
The days that didn't seem so very long
Neither of us are to blame we overly know that it's a shame
That all that we had going now is gone
We had all of the good things...
Ok Charlie Pride wrote them but Dolly did sing them. Seem fairly apt......

Crickey Henry , was that Dolly Parton you were quoting? :)
Not Dolly - Lynn Anderson!
Written by Joe South after whom the away stand at the valley is named.

A couple of wins everyone thinks autos are there couple of defeats change everything. Our aim is 6th and after that anything can happen.
I beg your pardon ?
