Comments

  • so we are good getting forward right at the start and right at the end.
  • Second game in succession that Wagstaff & Jackson have been propping up the table.

and they provided the assist's for both our winning goals.
  • And we come out after HT half asleep :-(
  • 10 of Jackson's 12 goals were in the first half but there have been no first half goals in our games since Powell took charge, average goal being the 72nd minute.

That's fascinating - especially the 45-60 mins stat and the way it is virtually a reversed mirror image of the first 15 mins.

I guess that shows that what happens in the dressing room at h/t can be critical - and until recently, it appears opposition managers fired up their players and reorganised better over the half-time cuppa than we did.

The other period when we seem to concede most - the last - is more understandable. First, it's a longer period, of course - with time added up to 21mins, in some cases. Secondly, tiring legs, teams going for it, consolation goals when the game is already won etc. And thirdly, not too worried as goals conceded is outweighed by being our most productive period for finding the net, too !
