Watching the game here in Canada. Paul Walsh was the in-game pundit, James Richardson was presenting from a stripped down studio with Don Hutchison and Lord Curbishley providing the expert analysis. Only Alan Parry let the team down with his constant swooning over Gerrard. Overall though it was no frills coverage from a knowledgable team, Sky & the Beeb could do with focussing a bit more on the quality of their presenters and a bit less on how glossy their studios are or how big their stupid touchscreens are.
Yes, same coverage out here in Dubai. That's Premier League TV in action, their own in house programme that they sell around the world. Curbs is often on it, normally with And Townsend. They do come across very very well. It also explains why Curbs will not be looking for another job managing a football team.
Carroll is reasonably good in the air but quite poor on the ground and he runs like he is in slow motion. He'll get a few goals but only if others serve them up for him. He was forever screaming at his team-mates last night - made Bellamy seem like a Trappist monk. £35 million? I think Dalgleish forgot to insert the decimal point between the two numbers. I wonder what the owners really think of his management of the money when they watch Carroll and Henderson. Europa cup for them next season IMO.

Gerrard seemed to be the only player that can supply Carroll.
