[cite]Posted By: Curb_It[/cite]Ok sorry. I find it hard to understand stuff late on a Saturday.

So did you not get word that it had been called off?

No as I went a completely different route to what other supporters made and didn't receive communication from anyone given that I approached the town from east of the Pennines. I wanted to avoid the student demonstrations in Manchester (given the reported violence at the last main one). I have also had one or two bad experiences in Manchester at night so I wouldn't have felt particularly safe coming back. I could have checked but I just had no cause to believe that the game would be called off. My means of checking (internet facility on my mobile phone) is rather greedy for power. I only became suspicious that the game might have been called off when I got to the ground but the first reliable confirmation I got was here when I thought I'd risk connecting to the internet. My usually reliable contact (whom I believe would have sent a text beforehand to tell me if the game was off) did send a text around 5pm - asking for the result.
  • [cite]Posted By: Dazzler21[/cite]This is bull. I can't understand how a professional club doesn't have frost covers!

Or even TWO professional clubs given that the rugby league team Rochdale Hornets play there.

Sorry to be mean but last line made me chuckle.
    Hope you got home okay!
