So with a takeover and new management regime the future looks bright.
But just how bright.
In January 2016 where will Charlton be?
1. In which Division will we be playing?
2. Who will be manager?
3. What will the ground look like?
4. What are our targets for the current 2016 season?
I know heart will say Premier league winners/champions league final/100k capacity Valley but with your head what do you realistically hope for and expect?

Well, I can dream, can't I?
But I bet if this question had been asked 5 years ago, not too many would have got it right.
Which is why it's interesting to ask it now. Then in five years someone will dig it out and we can reflect on the answers.
That's my dream too - it's not that unrealistic is it?

4. What are our targets for the current 2016 season? Looking for new investment to make a challenge for promotion.
Knew some smart arse would try that so was careful to say "Charlton Athletic" ; - )
And as a Bromley Addick you should know the answer is "On a par with Norwich and QPR" which as it happens may not be far off being correct.
Anyway, here are my predictions for 5 years time! Can I get a Charlton Life five year season ticket?
1. In which Division will we be playing - Premier League
2. Who will be manager? - Chris Powell - before he leaves for the England job after their disastrous Euro 2016 campaign that summer
3. What will the ground look like? - 35,000-40,000 with East Stand and Jimmy Seed development.
4. What are our targets for the current 2016 season? - To outbid Man City on every single player in the January transfer window.
2. Chris Powell
3. 40,000
4. Top half of PL.
2. Who will be manager? Powell will be in charge of England by then. I reckon another promising young manager, Paul Scholes would fit the bill.
3. What will the ground look like? No significant structural changes but the screen will be working and we'll have enough money to touch up the paintwork every summer.
4. What are our targets for the current 2016 season? We'll start the season thinking about the play-offs, but realistically anywhere in the Top 10 would represenent a satisfactory season.
I know heart will say Premier league winners/champions league final/100k capacity Valley but with your head what do you realistically hope for and expect?
Hope
Crowds averaging just under 20k with enough casual support to sell out for the big games
Booing to be restricted to opposition players and over-officious refs
A unified, noisy home support with a large repetoire of songs and chants which are witty and original
A team made up of youth team graduates and signings who feel an affiliation with the club and stick around for longer than a couple of seasons
Basically, everything to be like it was around 1995 but with an extra 10,000 supporters in the ground.
Expect
To be watching better football than we have been recently, in a higher league and to be financially stable, but a little bit further away from from what we were when I first got the Addicktion.
