Is where we could be when we kick off against Rochdale next w/e as Oldham play midweek and Colchester have two games(Tues & Fri)...this league is crazy!
I think you summed it up with the last four words of your first sentence. It's bonkers.
It's probably best to not even bother looking at the table, points totals, GD or whatever until everyone is on an even keel again. We just need to play our own game and get as many points as we can in the meantime and forget about chasing or holding off.
The only teams probably not in at least some sort of false position at the moment are Brighton and Walsall!
We have two games in hand over several of the teams above us and one over the Saints, win those games and we are in contention for an automatic promotion spot.
I prefer the points-per-game table, which has us in 6th.
If we do drop to 9th, it will be because Colchester take 4 or 6 points from Brighton and Peterborough, so would give us a great chance to move up to 4th or 5th on Saturday.
[cite]Posted By: cafckev[/cite]When have you known us to win games when we really need too to close the gap and push on?
i worked out that following todays postponing, that if all teams above charlton (including charlton) won, getting their games played tally up to 27, that charlton would be 3rd with equal points as southampton behind only on goal difference, our outlook isnt too bad and considering we are to play southampton i think we could realistically be looking at a top 2 finish
[cite]Posted By: LargeAddick[/cite]Bearing in mind we have to play Saints twice. Conversely though where would we be if we lost our games in hand and everyone below us won theirs?
No team has any games in hand on us so we can't fall further unless we lose (or postpone...) a few as you said. That would happen regardless of any games in hand though.
We do have games in hand on the teams above us, but we still need to win the games! I hope this extra time Powelly has had with the squad may just help in the long run!

November
is where we are before we kick off against Rochdale.
And on current form table we're 16th..........................
Amazing what different sets of statistics will tell you!
